					</table><p><a href="https://soshepower.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Soshe Power Tech</a>, a Hyderabad-based solar power developer, has secured an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract from Indian Oil Corporation (<a href="https://iocl.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">IOC</a>) for  a 1 MW grid-connected open access captive solar power project at IOC&#8217;s Northern Region Pipelines in Kurukshetra, Haryana.</p>
<p>The scope of the contract includes the commissioning of the project and one year of comprehensive operation and maintenance (O&amp;M) services , with an additional nine years of extended O&amp;M support.</p>
<p>The total contract value quoted by Soshe Power is ₹50.3 million (~$600,000) for the EPC and O&amp;M works.</p>
<p>The tender for this project was <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/ioc-captive-solar-haryana" target="_blank" rel="noopener">floated</a> in April of this year. Soshe Power is tasked with completing the project within seven months from the issuance of the work order.</p>
<p>Established in 2019, Soshe Power recently completed a 10 MW single-axis tracker EPC project in Assam and a 2 MW rooftop solar project in Kerala. Additionally, they commissioned a 1.9 MW ground-mounted project for Hindustan Petroleum Corporation in Karnataka.</p>
<p>Currently, Soshe Power is developing a 750-kW floating solar project in Bhavnagar, Gujarat, alongside a 2.4 MW rooftop project and a 1.3 MW project for industrial clients.</p>
<p>Earlier this year, IOC <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/indian-oil-epc-tender-solar-andhra" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids for an EPC contract for a 1 MW solar power project at Southern Region Pipelines in Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh.</p>
<p>Late last year, IOC also <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/indian-oil-tenders-solar-project-in-karnataka" target="_blank" rel="noopener">sought</a> bids for the O&amp;M of an existing 1.1 MW solar power project located at the Indane Bottling Plant in Devanagonthi village, Bengaluru Rural district, Karnataka.</p>
<p>In another project, Soshe Power <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/soshe-epc-contract-hpcls-1-9-mw-solar-karnataka" target="_blank" rel="noopener">won</a> an EPC contract from Hindustan Petroleum Corporation for a 1.9 MW solar power project to be developed at Hiriyur in Karnataka. This project also includes a ten-year operation and maintenance agreement.</p>

					</table><p><strong><a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/hpcl-7-mw-solar-maharashtra/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (HPCL) has invited bids to select an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractor for a 7 MW solar power project in Maharashtra.</a></strong> The bidder must identify and offer suitable land on lease to HPCL directly or in sub-lease. They must also oversee the operation and maintenance of the project for ten years. The last day to submit the bids is January 1, 2024. Bids will be opened on the same day. Bidders must submit an earnest money deposit of ₹140,000 (~$1,679).</p>
<p><strong><a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/jayram-industries-lands-ntpc-battery-storage-project/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Hyderabad-based electrical infrastructure company Jayram Industries India (JIIPL) secured the contract from NTPC Renewable Energy (NTPC REL) for the installation of a 250 kW/1,200 kWh battery</a></strong> energy storage system supporting solar power projects at the Khavda Renewable Energy Park in the Rann of Kutch, Gujarat. According to a Mercom source, JIIPL will deploy the lithium-ion technology for the project. The agreement was formalized at NTPC REL’s Greater Noida office on November 30, 2023.</p>
<p><strong><a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/seci-subsidy-october-2023/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Solar Energy Corporation of India paid solar and wind power producers ₹10 billion (~$119.9 million) for the energy purchased in October 2023.</a></strong> The payment reflected a decline of 23% from the September disbursements. The disbursements increased by 24% on a year-over-year basis. In October, disbursements to solar and wind developers constituted 67.7% of the total payments. The nodal agency disbursed a total of ₹14.8 billion (~$177.1 million) during the month.</p>
<p><strong><a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/government-disburses-rooftop-solar-program-minister/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">To encourage the widespread adoption of rooftop solar, the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) disbursed ₹9.08 billion (~$108.8 million) as of November 31, 2023,</a></strong> as incentives to distribution companies (DISCOMs) under the Rooftop Solar Program Phase-II. In a written reply to the Rajya Sabha, the Union Minister for Power and New &amp; Renewable Energy, R.K. Singh, informed the incentives were disbursed to support various tasks, from project assessment and implementation to grid connectivity and capacity building by DISCOMs.</p>
<p><strong><a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/maharashtra-university-rooftop-solar-project/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">College Of Engineering Pune Technological University has invited expressions of interest to set up a 660 kW rooftop solar power project with net metering under the renewable energy service company model.</a></strong> The University will make arrangements for the necessary space, including land, rooftops, and canteen sheds for the project. The last date for the submission of bids is January 23, 2023. Bids will be opened the same day. The net output power for the power project, assuming crystalline solar modules, is projected to be approximately 1,305 MWh on average.</p>

<p>The tender for the project was <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/hpcl-invites-bids-for-solar-in-karnataka" target="_blank" rel="noopener">floated</a> in May this year.</p>
<p>HPCL had also tendered a 1.7 MW solar project to be developed in Yediyur, Karnataka. The project’s bid submission end date was recently extended from June 2, 2023, to December 21, 2023.</p>
<p>Soshe Power must complete the project within six months of receiving the work order.</p>
<p>HPCL has mandated the use of Monocrystalline PERC (Passivated Emitter and Rear Contact) half-cut solar modules with a minimum rated capacity of 535Wp for the project.</p>
<p>Soshe Power will be responsible for setting up the transmission system from the project site to Karnataka Power Transmission’s 66/11kV Javanagondanahalli substation.</p>
<p>Established in 2019, Soshe Power’s recent projects include a 10 MW single axis-tracker EPC project in Assam, a 2 MW rooftop solar project in Kerala, and an under-development 750 kW floating solar project in Gujarat.</p>
<p>Recently, HPCL <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/hpcl-invites-project-in-andhra-pradesh" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids to design, engineer, supply, construct, erect, test, and commission a 100 MW solar power project at Galiveedu village in the Annamayya district of Andhra Pradesh.</p>
<p>In November 2023, HPCL <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/hpcl-invites-bids-renewable-power-to-mumbai-refinery" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids to supply 78 MW of renewable energy under long-term open access from projects located anywhere in India. The selected developer or the power producer would supply power to HPCL’s Mumbai Refinery in Maharashtra.</p>
