Jharkhand Issues EPC Tender for 14 MW Solar Projects on Government Land

Jharkhand Renewable Energy Development Agency (JREDA) has invited bids for the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of 14 MW grid-connected and ground-mounted solar projects on government land in Palamu and East Singhbhum districts in Jharkhand.

Bids must be submitted by April 21, 2025. Bids will be opened on April 23.

Successful bidders must submit 10% of the total contract value as a security deposit within thirty days from the date of issue of the letter of intent. They must also submit 5% of the operation and maintenance contract price within 30 days before the operation and maintenance period as a security deposit.

Palamu

Solar projects of 9 MW must be set up at an estimated cost of ₹929.7 million (~$10.86 million).

Bidders must submit an earnest money deposit of ₹18.6 million (~$217,392).

Bidders must have commissioned ground-mounted grid-connected solar projects with a cumulative capacity of at least 4.5 MW over the past seven years, of which at least one project must be 1 MW at a single location. The reference project must have operated for at least six months before the bid submission deadline.

Bidders must have an average annual financial turnover of at least ₹279 million (~$3.26 million) during the last three years. They must have a positive net worth in the previous or current financial year.

East Singhbhum

Solar projects of 5 MW must be set up at an estimated cost of ₹439.3 million (~$5.13 million).

Bidders must submit an earnest money deposit of ₹8.78 million (~$102,618).

Bidders must have commissioned ground-mounted and grid-connected solar projects with a cumulative capacity of at least 2.5 MW over the past seven years, of which at least one project must be of 1 MW at a single location. The reference project must have operated for at least six months before the bid submission deadline.

Bidders must have an average annual financial turnover of at least ₹131.79 million (~$1.54 million) during the last three years. They must have a positive net worth in the previous or current financial year.

Successful bidders must commission the projects within 12 months from the work order issuance. They must also oversee the projects’ comprehensive operation and maintenance for 25 years.

In December, JREDA issued an expression of interest to develop 3 GW of grid-connected ground-mounted solar projects in Jharkhand in a build-own-operate mode.
