NTPC Renewable Energy (NTPC REL) has invited bids for the supply and installation of 224 wind turbine generators for a 672 MW wind power project in Solapur, Maharashtra.
The last date to submit bids is May 7, 2025. Bids will be opened on the same day.
Bidders must submit a bid security of ₹500 million (~$5.82 million) and a bid document fee of ₹22,500 (~$262.31).
The scope of work encompasses design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, erection, installation, testing, and commissioning of 224 Revised List of Models & Manufacturers (RLMM)-listed wind turbine generators (WTG) with a capacity of 3 MW each.
The successful bidders will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the project for 10 years, including the supply of spare parts, consumables, and repairs or replacements of any defective equipment.
The scope of work also entails establishing guaranteed performance parameters for the installed wind power projects, including control panels, supervisory control, and data acquisition systems.
Bidders will be responsible for the design, engineering, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of the unit substations and electrical works required for grid integration.
NTPC will provide the successful bidders with land to set up the wind power projects.
Bidders must be manufacturers of an approved WTG model with a minimum rating of 3,000 kW included in RLMM.
They must have a minimum annual turnover of ₹10.56 million (~$123,113) X quoted capacity in MW in the last three financial years.
Bidders must have had a positive net worth in the last financial year.
Recently, NTPC REL invited bids for a balance of system package for an interstate transmission-connected 900 MW wind energy project located in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh.
In 2024, it invited bids to supply and install WTG for a 960 MW interstate transmission system-connected wind energy project in Karnataka (Tranche III).
