The Dhanbad division of East Central Railway has issued tenders for a cumulative 4 MW rooftop solar systems at various service buildings.
Bids must be submitted by January 2, 2025. They will be opened on January 17.
Tender 1 (1.53 MW)
The advertised value of the project is ₹8.3 million (~$97,759.9). Bidders must furnish an earnest money deposit (EMD) of ₹566,700 (~$6,674.6).
Tender 2 (2.48 MW)
The advertised value of the project is ₹135.21 million (~$1.6 million). Bidders must furnish an EMD of ₹826,000 (~$9,725.6).
Successful bidders must design, manufacture, and supply grid-connected solar projects without battery backup.
They must complete the projects within nine months from the award date.
Bidders must also provide single/polycrystalline silicon solar cells connected in series. Additionally, they must provide a solar grid-connected string inverter and a data logger.
They must have a minimum average annual contractual turnover of V/N or V, whichever is less, where V is the advertised value of the tender, and N is the number of years prescribed to complete the project.
Bidders must have completed any one of the following categories of similar work during the last seven years:
- Three similar works (projects), each costing at least 30% of the tender’s advertised value.
- Two similar projects, each costing at least 40% of the tender’s advertised value.
- One similar project, costing at least 60% of the tender’s advertised value.
Similar works refers to the supply and installation of a solar project of any nature or the supply and installation of a rooftop solar project of any capacity.
The East Central Railway recently floated a tender to empanel qualified bidders for setting up 20 MW ground-mounted solar projects at Madhepura, Pandaul, and Rajnagar in Bihar. The last date to submit bids is December 23, 2024. Bids will be opened on the same day.
