					</table><p><a href="https://www.sjvn.nic.in/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">SJVN</a>, a joint venture of the Government of India and the government of Himachal Pradesh, has invited bids from developers who can set up 600 MW Inter-state transmission system-connected wind projects in India on a build-own-operate basis.</p>
<p>The last date to submit the bids is May 15, 2024.</p>
<p>As per the scope of work, bidders will set up ISTS-connected wind power projects, including the transmission network up to the interconnection or delivery point to supply wind power to SJVN.</p>
<p>Wind projects already under construction or yet to be commissioned, or commissioned but selling wind power on a short-term merchant basis, will also be considered under this tender.</p>
<p>Bidders will also be responsible for obtaining all clearances, permits, and licenses, including land arrangement, installation, and project ownership. The wind power developers will be responsible for securing connectivity for each project. The wind projects can be located anywhere in India.</p>
<p>SJVN will enter into power purchase agreements with the successful bidders for 25 years. The minimum project capacity or contracted capacity that the bidders can offer will be 50 MW, while the maximum capacity will be 300 MW.</p>
<p>Bidders will have to furnish ₹1.5 million ($18,072) + 18% GST for each project as a bid processing fee and have to furnish ₹1.2 million ($15,228)/ MW per project.</p>
<p>Successful bidders must submit a performance bank guarantee of ₹3.1 million ($38,072) before signing the PPA.</p>
<p>Bidders from a country bordering India are also eligible to participate in this tender. Successful bidders can also execute the project through a special purpose vehicle, of which the bidder is at least a 51% shareholder.</p>
<p>The net worth of the bidders should be at least ₹12.6 million ($152,289)/MW as of the previous financial year.</p>
<p>To demonstrate sufficient means to manage the project’s fund requirements, bidders should establish either a minimum average annual turnover of ₹18.9 million ($228,433) of the quoted capacity in the last three financial years, or an internal resource generation capability in the form of Profit Before Depreciation Interest and Taxes for a minimum of ₹3.7 million ($45,686).</p>
<p>They can also show an in-principle sanction letter from the lending institutions or banks of the bidder committing a line of credit for ₹7.9 million ($95,180) towards meeting the working capital requirements of the project.</p>
<p>Last month, an SJVN subsidiary <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/sjvn-green-invites-bids-for-transmission" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids for constructing 132 kV transmission lines for two of its solar projects.</p>
<p>Earlier this year, the company <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/sjvn-%E2%82%B9100-billion-fund-construction-renewable-projects" target="_blank" rel="noopener">secured</a> a $1.2 billion construction financing facility to fund its renewable energy projects.</p>
