Telangana Issues Tenders for 21 MW Solar Projects

The Northern Power Distribution Company of Telangana (TGNPDCL) has issued multiple tenders for installing ground-mounted solar projects of a total capacity of 21 MW at 24 locations in the state.
The capacities of the individual projects range from 600 kW to 1.5 MW. The projects will be implemented under a build, operate, maintain, and transfer model on a 100% turnkey basis.
The projects will be implemented at the following locations:
Bids must be submitted by May 1, 2025. Bids will be opened on May 3, 2025.
Bidders must submit a transaction fee of 0.03% on the contract value of up to ₹500 million (~$5.83 million) plus GST and a bid security of 2% of the quoted amount.
Selected bidders must furnish a corpus fund of 0.04% of the contract value capped at ₹10,000 (~$116.83) at the time of agreement.
The scope of works entails the design, installation, testing, and commissioning of the projects at their region’s 33/11kV substations. It also involves providing remote monitoring systems with a five-year comprehensive warranty and guarantee and operations and maintenance services for the same period.
Successful bidders must also conduct a geotechnical investigation at the project sites.
The project must be commissioned within six months from the agreement date. Commissioning delays will attract liquidated damages of up to 10% of the final contract price.
Bidders must be registered with the Telangana Renewable Energy Development Corporation. They must also have implemented ground-mounted solar projects of at least 50% of the tendered project capacity at government/projects with subsidy/private projects with 11 kV evacuation experience during the last three financial years.
Bidders must have a minimum turnover of 30% of the estimated project value during any one of the last three financial years.
Recently, TGNPDCL issued two tenders for the engineering, procurement, and construction of a cumulative 5.4 MW of solar projects at various locations on a build, operate, maintain, and transfer basis.
In March this year, TGNPDCL issued two tenders to develop a cumulative capacity of 3.6 MW solar projects in Warangal.
