<p>Bharat Heavy Electricals (<a href="https://www.bhel.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">BHEL</a>) has invited bids for the operation and maintenance (O&amp;M) work of a 2 MW rooftop solar project at Diesel-Loco Modernization Works, Patiala, for 9.5 months.</p>
<p>The last date to submit the bids is June 11, 2022. Bids will be opened on the same day.</p>
<p>The estimated value of the contract is ₹1.575 million (~$20,254).</p>
<p>Bidders will have to submit ₹31,500 as an earnest money deposit.</p>
<p>The successful bidder will have to furnish 5% of the contract value as performance security. In case of delay in submitting performance security, enhanced performance security which would include interest (SBI rate + 6%) for the delayed period, must be submitted by the bidder.</p>
<p>The bidder should have completed three similar works, each costing not less than 40% of the estimated cost, i.e., ₹743,000 (~$9,554), or two similar works, each costing not less than 50% of the estimated cost, i.e., ₹929,000 (~$11,946), or one similar work costing not less than 80% of the estimated cost, i.e., 1.486 million (~$19,110)</p>
<p>The average annual financial turnover should be at least 30% of the contract value during the last three years, i.e., ₹558,000 (~$7,175).</p>
<p>The successful bidder will have to pay a penalty of 0.5% per week of delay on the value of the work order if the vendor fails to start the O&amp;M work within two weeks of the date of the notice.</p>
<p>Any vendor against whom BHEL has initiated action due to non-performance is not eligible for participation.</p>
<p>Recently, BHEL <a href="https://mercomindia.com/bhel-issues-om-tender-for-ntpcs-solar-project-gujarat/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">issued</a> a notice inviting tender for O&amp;M of NTPC’s 20 MW grid-connected solar power project at Gandhar in Gujarat for three years.</p>
<p>Earlier, BHEL had <a href="https://mercomindia.com/bhel-issues-om-tender-rooftop/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids for the O&amp;M of 1.1 MW of rooftop solar projects in Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand. Of this, 630 kW of rooftop solar systems are located in Kanpur, 75 kW capacity in Meerut, both in Uttar Pradesh, and 400 kW in Ranchi, Jharkhand.</p>
<p>According to Mercom’s <a href="https://mercomindia.com/product/india-solar-tender-tracker/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">India Solar Tender Tracker</a>, BHEL has issued O&amp;M tenders for 747 MW of solar capacity to date.</p>
