Consultants Invited to Study Feasibility of Captive Solar Projects at HPCL Sites

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) has invited bids from consultants for a feasibility study to develop solar projects for captive use on vacant lands at its operating locations across the country.

The last date to submit the bids is December 1, 2021. Bids will be opened on the same day.

Bidders are not required to pay any earnest money deposit.

HPCL has vacant land available in Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Haryana, Kerala, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Delhi, Rajasthan, Bihar, and Andhra Pradesh.

The bidder’s average annual turnover during the last three financial years should be ₹72,000 (~$971) for Schedule 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 10. For Schedule 3, 8, and 9, the bidder’s average annual turnover during the last three financial years should be ₹138,000 (~$1,862).

The bidder should have completed three similar works of value not less than ₹96,000 (~$1,295) each (for Schedule 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 9, and 10) and of value not less than ₹184,000 (~$2,483) each (for Schedule 3, 7, and 8) during the last seven years.

Alternatively, the bidder should have completed two similar works of value not less than ₹120,000 (~$1,619) each (for Schedule 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 9, and 10) and of value not less than ₹230,000 (~$3,104) each (for Schedule 3, 7, and 8) during the previous seven years.

The bidder should have completed one similar work of value not less than ₹192,000 (~$2,591) (for Schedule 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 9, and 10) and value not less than ₹368,000 (~$4,967) (for Schedule 3, 7, and 8) during the last seven years.

In September this year, HPCL invited bids to develop a 1.3 MW ground-mounted solar project at its Yediyur Receiving Station in the Tumakuru district of Karnataka.

Earlier, HPCL had invited proposals from consultants for a detailed feasibility study to develop a solar project on vacant land available in Gujarat.

According to Mercom’s India Solar Tender Tracker, HPCL has so far floated tenders for 13 MW of solar projects.
