Uttar Pradesh Floats Tender for 7 MW Rooftop Solar Systems

The Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) has floated three tenders to install a cumulative capacity of 7 MW on-grid rooftop solar systems with battery backup for captive use on government buildings.

The last day to submit the bids is July 24, 2024. Bids will be opened on the same day.

Selected bidders must install the systems within four months of receiving the work order.

They must also provide five years of comprehensive maintenance.

Bidders must submit an amount equivalent to 2% of the estimated contract value as an earnest money deposit.

Selected bidders must furnish an amount equivalent to 5% of the estimated contract value as performance security.

Tender 1

The selected bidder must install 4 MW of hybrid rooftop solar systems with battery backup. The system capacities will range from 11 kW to 50 kW.

The estimated contract value is ₹687.4 million (~$8.23 million).

Bidders should have supplied and installed rooftop systems of 1.2 MW in the last five financial years.

Their average annual turnover in the best-performing three years of the last five financial years must be at least ₹206.2 million (~$2.47 million).

The bidders’ net worth must be positive as of the last day of the preceding financial year.

Tender 2

The selected bidder must install 2 MW of hybrid rooftop solar systems with battery backup. The system capacities will range from 1 kW to 10 kW.

The estimated contract value is ₹355.7 million (~$4.26 million).

Bidders should have supplied and installed rooftop systems of 600 kW in the last five financial years.

Their average annual turnover in the best-performing three years of the last five financial years is at least ₹106.7 million (~$1.27 million).

The Bidders’ net worth must be positive as of the last day of the preceding financial year.

Tender 3

The selected bidder must install 1 MW of rooftop solar systems with battery backup. The system capacities will range from 51 kW to 75 kW.

The estimated contract value is ₹173.8 million (~$2.08 million).

Bidders should have supplied and installed rooftop systems of 300 kW in the last five financial years.

Their average annual turnover in the best-performing three years of the last five financial years is at least ₹52.1 million (~$624,225).

The bidders’ net worth must be positive as of the last day of the preceding financial year.

In March, UPNEDA floated a tender to select solar project developers to set up 600 MW grid-connected solar power projects in Jhansi Solar Park.
