Uttar Pradesh New & Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) has invited bids for 2 MW grid-connected rooftop solar systems with battery backup for captive use in government buildings.
The individual system sizes can vary from 11 kW to 50 kW. The project’s estimated cost is ₹440 million (~$5.21 million).
The rooftop solar systems should be installed within four months of receiving the work order. Installers must provide operation and maintenance services for 10 years.
The last day to submit the bids is November 29, 2024. Bids will be opened on the next day.
The cost of the tender document is ₹11,800 (~$140). Bidders must pay 2% of the estimated cost as an earnest money deposit. They must also submit a security deposit equivalent to 5% of the work order value.
The scope of work covers designing, supplying, installing, and commissioning the rooftop solar systems. It also includes testing the complete system and providing a remote monitoring system.
Bidders should have supplied and installed a rooftop solar project for 30% of the bid quantity, i.e., 600 kW in the last five years.
Their overall average annual turnover in the best-performing three years of the last five financial years must be 30% of the tender cost, which is ₹132 million (~$1.56 million).
The bidders’ net worth must be positive as of the last day of the preceding financial year.
Bidders should have a valid test report of the complete system/components like modules, hybrid inverters, and batteries issued by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s authorized testing center or NABL-accredited test lab. The test report should be valid and not older than April 2022.
Only modules registered in the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers issued by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy must be deployed in the systems.
Recently, UPNEDA invited bids under five tenders for a cumulative capacity of 23 MW on-grid and off-grid rooftop solar systems with battery backup for captive use in government buildings.
In September, UPNEDA invited bids for 320 MW grid-connected ground-mounted solar power projects in eight locations in Jalaun, Uttar Pradesh.
