THDC Invites EoI for Residential Rooftop Solar Projects in Three States

Twelve channel partners each will be selected for Karnataka, Uttarakhand and Madhya Pradesh

THDC India has invited expressions of interest (EoI) to select channel partners to supply and install grid-connected rooftop solar systems in residential buildings under PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojna in Karnataka, Uttarakhand, and Madhya Pradesh.

The selected installers must also provide comprehensive annual maintenance for five years.

Bidders must submit an earnest money deposit of ₹2 million (~$23,941) per state. They can bid for each state separately.

Of the total payment of the sanction order or the quoted charges for the comprehensive annual maintenance contract, whichever is higher, 10% will be retained as performance security after the work is completed.

Twelve channel partners will be selected for each state, i.e., the lowest bidder (L1) and eleven non-L1 bidders matching the L1 price in the order of their ranking. Other bidders matching the L1 price in each state will be kept in the reserve list.

Bidders should meet one of the following criteria:

  • They should be an engineering, procurement, and construction contractor who has commissioned a grid-connected solar project of at least 1 MW in the last financial year.
  • They should be a manufacturer of solar modules listed in the latest Approved List of Models and Manufacturers published by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy. The channel partner’s name must be included in this list.
  • They should be a distributor or dealer of solar modules who has supplied modules with a cumulative capacity of at least 2 MW in the last financial year.
  • They should be a distributor or supplier of module mounting structures for solar projects. They should have supplied structures for projects with a cumulative capacity of at least 2 MW in the last financial year.
  • They should be a distributor or dealer for consumer durables or a combination of switchgear and/or control gear components, having offices or warehouse facilities in more than one district. The channel partner must have agreements with at least five vendors, each of whom has installed at least five rooftop solar systems since April 1, 2023.

The average annual financial turnover of the bidders during the last three financial years should not be less than ₹30 million (~$359,124).

Their net worth should not be negative as of the last financial year and should not have eroded by more than 30% in the last three years.

Karnataka Tender

The last day to submit the bids is August 8, 2024. Bids will be opened the next day.

Uttarakhand Tender

The last day to submit the bids is August 13, 2024. Bids will be opened the next day.

Madhya Pradesh Tender

The last day to submit the bids is August 19, 2024. Bids will be opened the next day.

Recently, THDC India invited bids to empanel a technical consulting agency to prepare feasibility reports for floating solar power projects at various locations across India for three years.
