TCIL floats tender for a 2 MW floating solar project in Mauritius

JSW Neo Energy (JSW Energy), Juniper Green Energy, BN Peak Power-1 (BrightNight), and Avaada Energy have won Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company’s (MSEDCL) auction to supply 500 MW of wind-solar hybrid power on a long-term basis from grid-connected intrastate projects with an additional greenshoe option of up to 500 MW. JSW Neo and Juniper Green quoted ₹3.60 (~$0.0431)/kWh to win 200 and 75 MW, respectively. BN Peak Power won 76 MW at a tariff of ₹3.62 (~$0.0434)/kWh.

Telecommunications Consultants India has invited bids to establish a 2 MW floating solar photovoltaic project at the Tamarind Falls Reservoir, Mauritius. The last date to submit the bids is July 24, 2024. Bids will be opened on the same day. The scope of work covers the design, engineering, procurement, supply, construction, testing, and commissioning of the solar project on a turnkey basis. It will also include designing and constructing a control room (CMCS) building.

Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company has invited bids to procure 1,150 MW of wind-solar hybrid power on a long-term basis from grid-connected intrastate projects with an additional greenshoe option of up to 1,150 MW. The last day to submit the bids is July 31, 2024. Bids will be opened on the same day. The cost of the bidding documents is ₹25,000 (~$299) and the bid processing fee is ₹1 million (~$11,978). Bidders must furnish an earnest money deposit of ₹1.1 million (~$13,176)/MW.

The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission granted KPS1 Transmission a license to implement a transmission line for the injection of 3 GW renewable energy at Khavda Pooling Station 1 (KPS1) through the Regulated Tariff Mechanism route. The project entails implementing a 400 kV Line Bay at KPS1 for interconnecting Sarjan Realities’ 1,150 MW renewable energy project, with an estimated cost of ₹318 million (~$3.81 million) in Gujarat. In August 2023, Adani Energy Solutions signed an agreement with Megha Engineering and Infrastructures to acquire 100% equity shares of KPS 1 at a face value of ₹10 (~$0.12) per share.
