<p>The Green Energy Development Corporation of Odisha (GEDCOL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Odisha Hydro Power Corporation and the state nodal agency for development of solar projects in Odisha, has announced it has tendered 16.4 MW of grid-connected solar at different locations across the state. The scope of work includes design, engineering, procurement and supply, construction, commissioning and operation and maintenance (O&amp;M) of the project for a period of 10 years.</p>
<p>As per a newspaper notification, the tender documents will be available on the <a href="http://gedcol.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">GEDCOL website</a> from May 26, 2017.</p>
<p>According to <a href="http://store.mercom.mercomcapital.com/product/q1-2017-india-solar-market-report/"><em>Mercom’s Q1 2017 India Solar Market Update</em></a>, Odisha had 79 MW of solar in operation and 291 MWs under development.</p>
<p><em>Update &#8211;</em> As per the GEDCOL&#8217;s recent <a href="http://www.admin.gedcol.com//NewsFile/GEDCOL-427-26.05.17.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">notice</a>, the tender document along with detail terms and conditions will be available on the website from June 15, 2017.</p>
