					</table><p>Gujarat State Electricity Corporation (<a href="https://www.gsecl.in/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">GSECL</a>) has invited bids from contracts for providing engineering, procurement, and construction services for a 15 MW wind power project in the Kutch region of Gujarat.</p>
<p>The successful bidder will have to take care of the operation and maintenance of the project for 25 years.</p>
<p>The project’s estimated cost is ₹900 million (~$11.54 million). The winning bidders are allowed 15 months from the date of issue of letter of intent to commission the project.</p>
<p>The last date to submit the bids online is July 12, 2022. The pre-bid meeting will be held on July 5.</p>
<p>Bidders must submit ₹9 million (~$115,368) as an earnest money deposit. The contractor should furnish, within seven days of award of the contract, a security deposit-cum-performance bank guarantee equivalent to 10% of the accepted value of the contract.</p>
<p>The minimum offered project capacity should be 15 MW (± 5%).</p>
<p>Bidders should have the name and the offered model of wind electric generator included in the Revised List of Models and Manufacturers (RLMM) published by the National Institute of Wind Energy (NIWE), Ministry of New &amp; Renewable Energy (MNRE), and the Government of India.</p>
<p>The offered model of the wind electric generator should be of a 2,000 kW rating or above.</p>
<p>Bidders should have designed, engineered, manufactured, supplied, erected, tested, and commissioned wind power projects of aggregate capacity not less than 15 MW comprising wind electric generators of unit rating of 2,000 kW or above in any one year in the last seven years as of the bid submission date.</p>
<p>The quoted model of the wind electric generator should have been installed and commissioned by the bidder and been in operation for at least one year.</p>
<p>All equipment should be new and comply with all regulatory requirements for establishing wind and renewable energy projects in India and Gujarat. The quoted model of wind electric generator should have type certification from an accredited test house such as RISO Denmark, Germanischer LLOYD &#8211; Germany, NIWE, or any other agency approved by MNRE.</p>
<p>Bidders should have operated and maintained at least one wind farm of 10 MW capacity with wind electric generators of 2,000 kW rating or above for at least one year as of the bid submission date.</p>
<p>The wind electric generator supplier should have a manufacturing unit for critical components established in India and repair and service facilities fully established and functioning with the requisite setup in India.</p>
<p>The cumulative turnover of the bidders should be at least ₹900 million (~$11.54 million) during the last three financial years.</p>
<p>They should have a positive net worth during the last financial year.</p>
<p>Recently, GSECL <a href="https://mercomindia.com/bids-set-up-100-mw-wind-projects-gujarat/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids for the engineering, supply, procurement, installation, and commissioning of 100 MW of wind power projects at two sites on a turnkey basis.</p>
<p>Earlier, the Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited <a href="https://mercomindia.com/gujarat-500-mw-wind-tender-greenshoe-option/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids to purchase power through a competitive bidding process from 500 MW of grid-connected wind power projects (Phase-III) with the greenshoe option for an additional capacity of up to 500 MW.</p>

EPC Tender Issued for a 15 MW Wind Power Project in Gujarat

<p>Inox Wind, a wind energy solutions provider, has sealed a new deal for the sale of power from a 50 MW wind power project of the Solar Energy Corporation of India (<a href="http://www.seci.co.in/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">SECI</a>).</p>
<p>The project is located at Dayapur in the Kutch region of Gujarat. According to a Bombay Stock Exchange’s (BSE) filing, the strategic investor in the project is Adani Green Energy.</p>
<p>The project consists of 25 numbers of 2 MW wind turbines.</p>
<p>“The 2 MW wind turbines have one of the highest swept areas that make it ideally suited to maximize returns in low wind areas. Inox Wind’s Kutch site would become one of the largest wind farms in India post the execution of capacities won in different rounds of SECI and state auctions,” states the company.</p>
<p>Apart from the recent deal, Inox Wind has already commissioned 166 MW of wind projects for Adani, adds the BSE filing. Inox Wind’s manufacturing capacity currently stands at 1,600 MW per annum.</p>
<p><a href="https://mercomindia.com/inox-wind-supply-100-mw-wind-turbines-adani-wind-project-gujarat/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Back in 2017</a>, Inox had closed a deal to develop a 100 MW wind power project for Adani Green Energy in Kutch, Gujarat. Under this, Inox Wind had supplied, erected, and commissioned 50 of its advanced 2 MW wind turbine generators.</p>
<p>Then in <a href="https://mercomindia.com/siemens-gamesa-and-inox-wind-bag-massive-orders-in-india/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">February 2019</a>, Inox Wind had received a Letter of Intent from Adani Green Energy to supply, erect, and commission 501.6 MW of wind power projects won in the auction by the SECI.</p>
<p>According to the MNRE, cumulative wind power installations totaled <a href="https://mnre.gov.in/physical-progress-achievements" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">36.9 GW</a> as of September 2019. Since the inception of reverse bidding in India’s wind sector back in February 2017, <a href="https://mercomindia.com/over-9-5-gw-wind-auction-since-2017/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">approximately 12.5 GW</a> of wind power projects have been auctioned in the country. <a href="https://mercomindia.com/india-first-batch-ists-wind-commissioned/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">In August 2018</a>, the first batch of interstate transmission system-connected wind energy projects was commissioned in India.</p>
