					</table><p>The Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (<a href="https://www.lmrcl.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">UPMRCL</a>) has invited bids to install and commission 2 MW of rooftop solar systems on depots and stations of the Lucknow metro project.</p>
<p>The successful bidder will also have to take care of the operation and maintenance of the project for 25 years.</p>
<p>The last date to submit the bids is September 5, 2022. Bids will be opened the following day.</p>
<p>Within 30 days from the date of issue of the acceptance letter, the successful bidder should furnish ₹2.448 million (~$30,619) as performance security.</p>
<p>The project must be completed within nine months from the letter of acceptance.</p>
<p>UPMRCL has set a ceiling tariff of ₹4.50 (~$0.056)/kWh for the tender. The size of each project should be in the range of 10 kW to 400 kW.</p>
<p>Bidders should have installed and commissioned a grid-connected solar project with a minimum capacity of 1 MW during the last ten years. They should also have installed and commissioned a rooftop solar project with a minimum capacity of 250 kW in the last ten years.</p>
<p>Bidders must have liquidity equal to the cash flow requirement of ₹15.5 million (~$193,871) for the contract. They must have a positive net worth in the last two years.</p>
<p>The average annual turnover of the bidders in the last five years should be ₹87 million (~$1.09 million).</p>
<p>A minimum capacity utilization factor (CUF) of 12% should be maintained for 25 years.</p>
<p>If bidders fail to commission the project on time, liquidated damages calculated on a per-day basis at 10% of the work cost for the left-over capacity would be levied.</p>
<p>The total solar array capacity should not be less than the allocated capacity (kW) and comprise solar mono/polycrystalline modules of a minimum capacity of 330 W and above wattage.</p>
<p>The predicted electrical degradation of power generated should not exceed 20% of the minimum rated power over the 25-year period and not more than 10% of the full rated original output after the first ten years.</p>
<p>The solar modules to be used for the rooftop systems must be warranted for peak output wattage, which should not be less than 90% at the end of ten years and 80% at the end of 25 years.</p>
<p>Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation recently <a href="https://mercomindia.com/bangalore-metro-20-mw-rooftop-solar-stations-depots/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids to install and commission 20 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar systems at stations and depot buildings under the renewable energy service company (RESCO) model.</p>
<p>Earlier, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) had <a href="https://mercomindia.com/delhi-metro-1-mw-rooftop-project-khyber-pass-depot/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids to install a 1 MW rooftop solar project at the Khyber Pass depot stabling lines of DMRC.</p>

Uttar Pradesh Metro Invites Bids for 2 MW of Rooftop Solar Systems

<p>The Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (<a href="https://www.pmpml.org/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">PMPML</a>), a public transport service provider, has floated an expression of interest (EoI) for 10 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar projects under the Renewable Energy Service Company (RESCO) model for its sites.</p>
<p>The RESCO model is a system where the developer owns the solar project, and the consumer only has to pay for the energy generated. The projects will be installed at its bus depots, workshops, bus rapid transit terminals, and charging stations.</p>
<p>Interested bidders are expected to make an earnest money deposit (EMD) of ₹200,000 (~$2,730). PMPML specified a non-refundable EoI processing fee of ₹15,000 (~$205). The last date for the submission of bids is November 18, 2020. A pre-bid meeting will be held on October 28, 2020, to clarify any queries bidders might have.</p>
<p>The scope of work includes the design, engineering, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of the projects. Selected bidders are also expected to provide 25 years of comprehensive operation and maintenance services for the rooftop and elevated solar projects under the RESCO model at project locations across the state.</p>
<p>Mercom has <a href="https://mercomindia.com/product/india-solar-tender-tracker/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">tracked</a> over 243 (273.90 MW) rooftop solar tenders based in Maharashtra.</p>
<p>In June, Mercom India Research’s Q2 2020 India Solar Market Update <a href="https://mercomindia.com/product/q2-2020-india-solar-market-update/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">report</a> ranked Maharashtra the third-best state for rooftop solar installations. The state held a 9% market share of overall rooftop solar installations in the country. The state has commissioned 260 MW of rooftop solar projects as of Q2 2020.</p>
<p>Meanwhile, the PMPML recently <a href="https://mercomindia.com/pune-tender-electric-buses/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">invited</a> bids for 150 electric buses under the FAME program for electric mobility. The buses should be 12-meter-long, air-conditioned, and compliant with Bus Rapid Transit.</p>
<p>Pune is fast becoming a hotspot for development in Maharashtra after Bombay. Mercom previously <a href="https://mercomindia.com/aai-announces-tender-rooftop-solar-pune-airport/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">reported</a> that the Pune airport was all set to get a 100 kW of grid-connected rooftop solar project. The tender was announced by the Airport Authority of India that comes under the Ministry of Civil aviation.</p>
