SJVN Invites Bids for 25 MW Green Hydrogen Project in Assam

SJVN Green Energy (SGEL), a subsidiary of SJVN, has invited bids for consultancy services to develop a comprehensive roadmap, prepare a detailed project report (DPR), and draft a tender document to set up a 25 MW green hydrogen project in Assam.

The final project setup will utilize advanced electrolysis-based technologies powered by renewable energy.

The tender was released on behalf of SGEL Assam Renewable Energy, a joint venture between SGEL and Assam Power Distribution Company (APDCL).

Bids must be submitted by February 27, 2025. Bids will be opened on the same day.

Bidders must submit an earnest money deposit of ₹50,000 (~$600) and a tender document fee of ₹2,360 (~$28.32) inclusive of 18% GST.

The scope of work entails conducting technical studies, developing a detailed roadmap, preparing a comprehensive DPR, and assisting in drafting the project’s tender documents.

Selected bidders must complete the assignment within three months of the award.

Bidders must have provided consultancy services as of the last day of the month for a minimum of seven years. They must also have completed at least one of the following:

  • One similar project with a minimum contract value of ₹2 million (~$24,000)
  • Two similar projects, each with a minimum contract value of ₹1.25 million (~$15,000)
  • Three similar projects, each with a minimum contract value of ₹1 million (~$12,000)

Bidders must have an average annual turnover of ₹5 million (~$60,000) over the last three financial years.

In December 2024, SJVN issued a request for selection for setting up cumulative 18 MW grid-connected rooftop solar projects in Delhi, Punjab, Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa, Kerala, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh.

SJVN also invited bids from developers to supply 6 GWh (1.5 GW x 4 Hours) assured peak power from interstate transmission system-connected renewable energy projects with energy storage system.
