Servotech Power Systems to Install 29 EV Charging Stations in Nashik

Servotech Power Systems, an electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions provider, has secured an order to build nine EV charging stations for the Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) in Maharashtra.

With the new order win, Servotech will install 29 EV charging stations in Nashik. .

NMC floated a tender to install 20 EV charging stations in July 2023. The work included a location survey, supply, commissioning, and construction of the charging stations.

Under the tender, 20 four-wheeler dual gun CCS2 (60 kW) DC plus 100 two/three-wheeler (3.3 kW) AC chargers were to be installed.

Servotech will oversee the installation, supply, and maintenance of EV charging stations.

The company offers an extensive range of AC and DC chargers that are compatible with different EVs and serve multiple applications, such as commercial and domestic.

According to Sarika Bhatia, Director of Servotech Power Systems, the order will help the city meet its growing need for convenient EV charging infrastructure and support the transition towards sustainable transport solutions for interstate and intercity travel.

In February 2024, the company also won an order to install 1,800 DC Fast EV Chargers across India from Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL), a government-owned oil and gas major. The order is valued at ₹1.2 billion (~$14.46 million) and encompasses installing and commissioning two charger variants, 60 kW and 120 kW in the 70:30 ratio.

Recently, Rajasthan Electronics and Instruments, a joint venture between the Government of India and the Government of Rajasthan, issued a tender for the selection of a charge point operator to set up EV charging stations across eight New Delhi Municipal Council sites.

Last year, the government informed Parliament that India had installed 8,738 public EV  charging stations, as of June 30, 2023, according to the Bureau of Energy Efficiency and the Ministry of Power data.
