PFC Consulting has invited bids to establish the 400 kV AIS Hingoli West intrastate transmission system project in Maharashtra. The project will connect with substations at Jalna, Parbhani, and Hingoli.

The transmission infrastructure will facilitate the evacuation of renewable energy from upcoming projects in the Sengaon, Hingoli, and Akhada Balapur areas and enable the transfer of approximately 600 MW of renewable power toward major load centers, particularly in the Jalna region.

The last date to submit the bids is May 15, 2026. Bids will be opened on the same day.

Bidders must furnish an earnest money deposit of ₹100.4 million (~$1.09 million) and a tender document fee of ₹500,000 (~$5,418) plus 18% GST. Successful bidders must submit a contract performance guarantee of ₹251 million (~$2.72 million) within 10 days from the issue of the Letter of Intent.

The scope of work includes the development of a 400 kV air-insulated switchgear substation at Hingoli West with two 500 MVA, 400/220 kV interconnecting transformers and a 125 MVAr bus reactor.

The successful bidder will also be responsible for the associated transmission lines comprising a 400 kV Hingoli West–Jalna double-circuit line with switchable reactors, a 220 kV Hingoli West–Parbhani double-circuit line, and a 220 kV Hingoli West–Hingoli double-circuit line using high-performance conductor. The interconnection voltage levels are 400 kV and 220 kV.

The selected bidder will establish, finance, design, engineer, procure, construct, commission, operate, and maintain the projects. It must also arrange land and, where required, manage related compensation and approvals for project components, including substations.

Bidders must have infrastructure development experience over the last five years, with an aggregate capital expenditure of at least ₹5.02 billion (~$54.40 million), with each project valued at a minimum of ₹1 billion (~$10.88 million), or construction experience, with payments received, with the same capital expenditure.

They must also have a net worth of at least ₹2.5 billion (~$27.09 million) based on audited financial statements of any of the last three financial years.

The project must be completed within 24 months from the effective date. After commissioning, the selected bidder will acquire 100% equity in the project special purpose vehicle and will transfer the project assets to the Maharashtra state transmission utility after 35 years from the commercial operation date at zero cost.

Recently, PFC Consulting invited bids to set up a 3×500 MVA, 400/220 kV substation, along with associated transmission lines, at Humnabad in Bidar district, Karnataka.

Earlier this year, the company invited bids to select transmission service providers to establish an interstate transmission system to integrate the Krishnagiri Renewable Energy Zone Phase-I in Andhra Pradesh.
