NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Extends Bid Submission Deadline for 15.52 MW of Grid Connected Rooftop Solar Tenders

The NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam (NVVN), a wholly owned subsidiary of the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC), tendered 15.52 MW of grid connected rooftop solar under the CAPEX model in various states of India in March 2017. According to NVVN the tender has been issued on behalf of Central Public Sector Undertakings (CPSUs) under the Ministry of Steel. The bid submission deadline has been extended to May 29, 2017.

According to the tender document, the bidder can submit its bid for either the whole capacity in Part-A (15.14 MW) or Part-B (0.38 MW). They have also mandated that the modules used for the project should be manufactured in India. The rest of the components can be procured from any source.

The size of each project shall be in range from 1 kW to 500 kW under CAPEX Model. Project may however comprise of several rooftops units and may be separately connected to grid with separate meters.

The scope of work for the project includes design, engineering, manufacture, supply, storage, civil work, erection, testing and commissioning of the project, including operation and maintenance for a period of five years after commissioning of the projects. The projects will be developed under a CAPEX model. The timeframe for completion of projects is 12 months from the date of issuance of Letter of Allocation (LOA).
