NHPC has issued a request for selection to set up 19.20 MW rooftop solar projects on government buildings in Haryana under the renewable energy service company model.

Bids must be submitted by March 24, 2025. Bids will be opened on March 28.

Bidders must furnish an earnest money deposit of ₹13 million (~$149,637) and a tender fee of ₹5,000 (~$57.56).

The scope of work entails the design, engineering, procurement and supply of equipment and material, multi-level inspections, packing, forwarding, receipt, unloading and storage, and associated civil works.

Selected bidders must erect, test, and commission the projects. The projects must be synchronized with the existing distribution network.

Successful bidders must obtain permits, approvals, licenses, insurance, and a no-objection certificate for the projects’ grid connectivity.

Bidders must satisfy any of the following conditions:

• They must have designed, supplied, erected, and commissioned solar projects with a minimum cumulative installed capacity of 400 kW, with at least one project having a minimum capacity of 40 kW.
• They must have developed solar-based grid-connected power projects with a minimum cumulative installed capacity of 400 kW, with at least one project having a minimum capacity of 40 kW.
• In the last ten years, they must have executed a single project of a minimum value of ₹40 million (~$460,382) as developers or engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractors for process industry or infrastructure development clients.

Bidders must also have executed at least one electric sub-station of a minimum voltage level of 11 kV as developers or EPC contractors. The project must have consisted of power transformers and voltage-level circuit breakers of at least 11 kV.

Bidders must have an average annual turnover of at least ₹345.7 million (~$3.9 million) in the last three years. They must also have a positive net worth in the previous two years.

Recently, NHPC invited bids to set up a cumulative 24.22 MW rooftop solar project on 245 government buildings in 25 states/union territories.
