Karnataka Issues O&M Tender for 10 MW Solar Project

The Karnataka Power Corporation Limited (KPCL) has floated a tender for operations and maintenance (O&M) of a 10 MW solar project.
The scope of the work will include maintenance of a 33 kV transmission line up to 110/33/11 kV Shiggoan substation at a distance of 9.5 kilometers.
The O&M contract will be valid for five years.
The last date for the submission of bids is February 9, 2023. Bids will be opened the following day.
The tender would be valid for 180 days from the date of opening.
The terms of the bid said that bidders must furnish an earnest money deposit (EMD) of ₹ 660,000 (~$8098).
EMDs of unsuccessful bidders would be refunded after the successful bidder receives their letters of agreement.
Further, the eligible bidder should have successfully carried out O&M of at least one solar power project of 1 MW capacity and above in India for a period of at least one year.
The project shall also be in satisfactory operation continuously for a minimum period of one year during the preceding five years prior to bid submission.
The value of the work order shall not be less than ₹22 million (~$269,960) in any one year.
The bidder should have a minimum annual turnover of ₹ 17.6 million (~$215,949) in at least two of the preceding five financial years.
The bidders are required to visit the 10 MW grid-connected solar PV project at Chandapur, Shiggoan Taluk, Haveri district to understand the system before submitting bids.
Recently, Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) invited bids for the operation and maintenance (O&M) of a 5 MW solar power project at its facility in Ranipet, Tamil Nadu. The O&M contract will be valid for two years. Bidders will have to submit ₹111,845 (~$1,375) as an earnest money deposit.
In the same month, IRCON Renewable Power (IRPL), a subsidiary of the Union government-owned IRCON International, invited bids to hire a project management consultant (PMC) for 500 MW grid-connected solar projects at Pavagada in Karnataka.
