ITI Invites Bids for 1.2 MW of Solar Projects with Net Metering in Kerala

ITI Limited, a government-owned telecommunication equipment manufacturer, has invited bids for the survey, supply, installation, and commissioning of 1.2 MW grid-connected rooftop or ground-mounted solar power projects with net metering at its premises in Palakkad, Kerala. The successful bidder will also have to take care of operation and maintenance activities for five years.
The last date to submit the bids is March 20, 2021. Bids will be opened on the same day.
Bidders will have to submit an amount of ₹500,000 (~$6,807) as the earnest money deposit. The successful bidder will have to furnish a performance security deposit of 5% of the total contract value before the issuance of the work order.
The project must be completed in eight months.
To participate in the bidding process, bidders should have experience of completing similar projects in the last three years. They should have completed one similar work of capacity not less than 80% of the total capacity, or two similar works of capacity not less than 50% of the total capacity, or three similar projects of capacity not less than 40% of the total capacity.
Bidders should have a positive net worth in the last three financial years. Their minimum annual average turnover should be ₹50 million (~$680,779) in the last three financial years.
Bidders from a country that shares a land border with India will be eligible to participate in the bidding process only if they are registered with the competent authority.
ITI will supply 325 W polycrystalline solar modules for the power projects. Bidders will have to design the project accordingly.
ITI recently floated a tender for 1.2 MW of grid-connected rooftop or ground-mounted solar power projects with net metering at its Bengaluru facility.
In November 2020, ITI had invited bids to develop a 1.5 MW grid-connected solar power project at its manufacturing facility in the Raebareli district of Uttar Pradesh.
