Gujarat Invites Bids for Geotechnical Survey of Solar, Wind, and BESS Projects

Gujarat Power Corporation (GPCL) has invited bids for a detailed geotechnical investigation and topographical and contour survey for solar, wind, wind-solar hybrid, and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects at various locations in the state.
The last date for submission of bids is July 4, 2024. Bids will be opened the same day.
The projects must be installed within 90 days from the date of the letter of intent issuance.
The tender fee is ₹5,000 (~$59.82) + GST.
Bidders must submit an earnest money deposit of ₹50,000 (~$598.24), the validity of which is 180 days. They must pay a performance bank guarantee of 10% of the estimated cost or total contract value (whichever is higher).
The work order/contract period will be for a year, and it may be extended for another year, subject to performance and work executed by the successful bidder. The successful bidder will carry out the work at the quoted price.
Bidders should have executed geotechnical investigation works within the preceding three years, achieving the following progress of work: Boring of at least 250 m in soil in any one month in one or more concurrently running contracts and drilling of at least 20 m in rock in any one month in one or more concurrently running contracts.
Bidders must have completed at least one project in a similar area with a liquefaction zone.
The average annual turnover of the bidders in the preceding three financial years should not be less than ₹1 million (~$11,963.6). Their net worth of the previous three financial years should be positive.
GPCL has also invited bids from consultants to prepare a pre-feasibility report (PFR) and detailed project report (DPR) for a 5 MW solar project with 15/20 MWh storage at the Gujarat Solar Park in Charanka.
