Chandigarh Renewable Energy and Science & Technology Promotion Society Tenders 1 MW of Rooftop Solar in Chandigarh

The Chandigarh Renewable Energy and Science & Technology Promotion Society (CREST) has tendered 1 MW of rooftop solar projects to be developed with high power evacuation on the Water Works building in Chandigarh. The bid-submission deadline is June 16, 2017.

The estimated project cost is Rs.62.85 million (~$0.97 million) and the project completion timeframe is six months from the placement of work order. The scope of work includes, design, manufacture, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of the project. The successful bidder will also have to provide operation and maintenance (O&M) services for a 10-year period.

The CREST has regulated, “The bidder has to submit an undertaking regarding minimum expected electrical energy generation of 1,300 kWh per 1 kW system on the HT side for the first year, a 1 percent decrease of the minimum expected electrical energy generation due to degradation factor of SPV modules is allowed from second year onwards.”

Mercom previously reported, that the Chandigarh administration provided incentives to spur rooftop installation. The Chandigarh administration is targeting solar rooftop installations aggregating 50 MW by 2022.
