Bids Invited for 40 MW of Solar Projects at GETCO Substations in Kutch

Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited (GSECL) has invited bids for the design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, testing, and commissioning of 40 MW of grid-connected solar power projects around the substations of the Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation (GETCO) at Manjal (10 MW) and Junachay (30 MW) in the Kutch district of Gujarat.
The successful bidder will also have to take care of the operation and maintenance activities of the project for five years.
The last date to submit the bids online is April 6, 2022. Bids will be opened on April 12.
The estimated cost of the tender is ₹1.6 billion (~$20.95 million).
Interested bidders will have to submit an amount equivalent to ₹16 million (~$209,501) as an earnest money deposit.
The successful bidder will have to furnish an amount equivalent to 5% of the contract work price within seven days, along with the acceptance of the letter of intent.
To participate in the bidding process, the bidder should have designed, supplied, erected, supervised, and commissioned grid-connected power projects of cumulative installed capacity of 20% or higher (in MW) of the total bid capacity, out of which at least one plant should have been of 5% or higher (in MW) of the total bid capacity.
The reference project of the minimum capacity must have been in successful operation for at least six months prior to the bid opening date.
The cumulative turnover of the bidder for the last three financial years should be at least ₹1.12 billion (~$14.66 million).
Also, the bidder’s net worth during the last financial year should be positive.
GSECL has stated that the minimum certified module efficiency should be 15% for crystalline with a minimum fill factor of 0.75.
In January this year, GSECL invited bids from engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractors to develop 131 MW of solar projects in the Surendranagar and Morbi districts of the state.
Earlier, GSECL had invited bids for the design, engineering, supply, procurement, construction, erection, testing, and commissioning of a 35 MW grid-connected solar project around the substation of GETCO at Lakadiya of Bhachau Taluk in the Kutchh district of Gujarat.
According to Mercom’s India Solar Tender Tracker, GSECL has so far floated EPC tenders for 1.8 GW of solar power projects.
