Gujarat State Electricity Corporation (GSECL) has floated three tenders to set up a total of 41 MW of grid-connected solar power projects at the Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation (GETCO) substations in the Devbhumi Dwarka district (11 MW), Bhavnagar district (18 MW), and Morbi district (12 MW).

The successful bidder will be responsible for the project’s operation and maintenance (O&M) for five years.

The last date to submit the bids online is October 7, 2022. Bids will be opened on October 13.

The performance bank guarantee for each of the three tenders remains the same. The successful bidder will have to furnish an amount equivalent to 5% of the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract price within seven working days, from the letter of intent.

The successful bidder for each tender must also submit an O&M bank guarantee equivalent to 5% of the EPC contract price within 30 days of the start of the O&M period.

Bidders should have designed, supplied, erected, supervised, and commissioned grid-connected solar power projects of a cumulative installed capacity of 20% or higher of the total bid capacity, out of which at least one plant must be 5% or higher of the total bid capacity. The reference project should have been operating for at least six months before the bid opening date.

11 MW tender

The first tender has been floated to install and commission an 11 MW grid-connected solar power project around the substation of GETCO at Gadhaka in the Devbhumi Dwarka district.

The project’s estimated cost is ₹440 million (~$5.54 million).

Bidders will have to submit ₹4.4 million (~$55,409) as an earnest money deposit.

The cumulative turnover of bidders in the last three financial years should be ₹308 million (~$3.88 million). Their net worth during the last financial year should be positive.

The contractor should warrant for the output of each solar module for at least 90% of its actual rated capacity after the initial ten years and 80% of its rated capacity after 25 years upon commissioning of the project.

18 MW tender

In another tender, GSECL has invited bids to install and commission an 18 MW grid-connected solar power project around the GETCO substation at Maghlana in the Bhavnagar district.

12 MW tender

In the third tender, GSECL has invited bids to install and commission a 12 MW grid-connected solar power project around the substation of GETCO at Dhavana in the Morbi district.

The project’s estimated cost is ₹480 million (~$6.04 million).

Bidders will have to submit ₹4.8 million (~$60,446) as an earnest money deposit.
