ACME Cleantech Solutions commissioned two solar projects totaling 100 MW in Telangana. The solar project developer commissioned a 50 MW project at Nirmal substation in the Adilabad district and another 50 MW project at the Sadasivapet substation in the Medak district of Telangana.

The company had secured the projects under the Telangana Solar Policy Group 2 auction, which saw nearly 2 GW of projects awarded to various developers.

In February 2016, ACME signed the PPAs for a duration of 25 years with the state DISCOMs by matching the cut off tariff of ₹5.5949 (~$0.087)/kWh.

According to Mercom’s recently released Q2 2017 India Solar Quarterly Market Update, ACME had a solar project pipeline of ~1.1 GW and was ranked second under ‘Top 5 Solar Project Developers in India by Pipeline.’

According to Mercom’s India Solar Project Tracker, with the recent commissioning of 100 MW of solar projects in Telangana, the state is just shy of reaching the 2 GW mark. The only other Indian states that have surpassed 2 GW in installations are Andhra Pradesh and Rajasthan.
