26.9 MW of Small Solar Tenders Announced in India

Over 26.9 MW of solar tenders were announced in India during the week ending September 08, 2017, from 36.4 MW of solar tenders unveiled a week earlier.
The largest tender was issued by India SME Technology Services Limited (ISTSL), which tendered 18.78 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar on behalf of Jawahar Navoday Vidyalaya (JNV).
The projects will be developed on school buildings in JNVs located in different states and union territories of India. These projects will be developed under a RESCO mode.
The bid-submission deadline is October 9, 2017, and the scope of work includes project design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning. The project completion timeframe is six months from the date of issuance of Letter of Allocation (LoA) by ISTSL.
The Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) tendered a 7.5 MW grid-connected solar project to be developed at IOCL’s Paradip refinery. The bid-submission deadline is October 5, 2017.
The scope of work includes design, engineering, manufacture, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of the solar project. The successful bidder will be responsible for two years’ assured project demonstration and operation and maintenance (O&M) of the project for a five-year period.
The Department of Atomic Energy, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), also tendered a 600 kW grid-connected rooftop solar project to be developed on buildings of BARC in Trombay, Mumbai. The bid-submission deadline is October 11, 2017.
The scope of work includes design, engineering, manufacture, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of the project. The estimated project cost is ₹40 million (~$0.62 mllion) and the project completion timeframe is nine months from the date the contract is awarded.
O&M Tenders
NTPC invited bids from eligible bidders for O&M of the power evacuation system for the 50 MW Rajgarh solar PV project in Madhya Pradesh. The estimated cost for the package is ₹4.03 million (~$0.063 mllion). The bid-submission deadline is October 6, 2017. According to Mercom’s India Solar Project Tracker, the 50 MW Rajgarh solar project has been operating since April 2014.
Karnataka Power Corporation Limited (KPCL) invited bids for O&M of a 3 MW solar PV project in Itnal village in the Belagavi district for a period of one year. The bid-submission deadline is October 7, 2017. According to Mercom’s India Solar Project Tracker, the 3 MW Itnal solar project has been operating since May 2010.
