Western Railway Invites Bids for 1.2 MW Rooftop Solar Power Project

The Western Railway has invited bids to install a 1.2 MW on-grid rooftop solar project at the EMU workshop in Mahalaxmi, Mumbai.
The last date to submit the bids is November 15, 2024. Bids will be opened the same day.
Bidders must submit an earnest money deposit of ₹412,900 (~$4,910). The tender’s advertised value is ₹52.58 million (~$625,341).
The project must be completed in six months.
The scope of work includes the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of an on-grid solar PV project, including net metering and DISCOM registration charges, inverter with data logger with the provision of data transferring to remote service along with data storage, mounting structures, junction boxes, cables, and wiring charges.
Bidders must have completed any one of the following categories of works during the last seven years:
- Three similar works, each costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of the tender.
- Two similar works, each costing not less than40% of the advertised value of the tender.
- One similar work costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of the tender.
They should also have carried out similar work in either central/state government departments or central/state government PSUs. Similar work includes the supply, erection, testing, and commissioning/AMC/Repair of solar panels, solar water heaters, solar lighting systems, and solar power packs.
Bidders must have a minimum average annual contractual turnover of V/N or V, whichever is less. V is the advertised value of the tender in rupees, and N is the number of years prescribed for completion of the work for which bids have been invited.
The North Eastern Railway also invited bids under two tenders for a cumulative capacity of 2.21 MW on-grid rooftop solar systems (without battery backup) at the railway station, service building, and residential quarters of the SSE/E/West Section of the Izzatnagar division in Uttar Pradesh.
In September, Vadodara Division-Electrical of the Western Railway invited bids to set up 1.05 MW rooftop solar systems at various locations in Gujarat.
