The Vadodara Division-Electrical of the Western Railway has invited bids to set up 1.05 MW rooftop solar systems at various locations in Gujarat.

The last date to submit the bid is October 17, 2024.

Bidders must furnish an earnest money deposit of ₹406,100 (~$4,858). The advertised value of the tender is ₹51.2 million (~$612,900).

The work must be completed in 12 months.

The scope of work for the successful bidder will include the design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of the on-grid solar systems, monocrystalline PV modules, MS hot-dipped galvanized structure for mounting of panels, and power conditioning units able to adjust voltage and frequency level to suit the grid voltage frequency at various locations of the Vadodara division.

Bidders must have a minimum average annual contractual turnover of V/N or V, whichever is less. V is the advertised value of the tender in rupees, and N = the number of years prescribed for completion of work for which bids have been invited.

The annual contractual turnover will be calculated as an average of total payments in the previous three financial years.

Bidders should have successfully or substantially completed one of the following categories of works during the last seven years:

• Three similar works, each costing not less than the amount equal to 30% of the advertised value of the tender.
• Two similar works, each costing not less than the amount equal to 40% of the advertised value of the tender.
• One similar work costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of the tender.

The Bikaner Division — Electrical, North Western Railway recently issued a tender for a cumulative capacity of 2,068 kW grid-connected rooftop solar power systems at railway residential quarters.

The Western Railway also floated a tender to install 1.1 MW rooftop solar systems at various locations in Bhavnagar.
