Manufacturers have been trying to deliver higher efficiency modules to reduce the levelized cost of energy (LCOE) and enhance the value of solar assets.

Larger PV modules with power ratings of more than 500Wp, half-cut technology, larger wafer sizes, of mono PERC, and bifacial technologies are being launched.
