Vadodara Municipal Corporation Invites Bids for 3 MW Rooftop Solar Systems

Vadodara Municipal Corporation has invited bids to install 3 MW rooftop solar systems on its buildings.

Bids must be submitted by February 24, 2025. Bids will be opened on February 27.

Bidders must furnish a bid security of ₹3.97 million (~$45,407) and a document fee of ₹20,000 (~$228).

Selected bidders must oversee the systems’ operation and maintenance for ten years. They must use modules included in the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers issued by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.

The systems must be installed within 240 days of issuing the work order.

The estimated work cost is ₹198.66 million (~$2.27 million).

Bidders must be registered in the relevant electrical category with the Vadadora Municipal Corporation, the public works department, or any Gujarat power distribution company. If they are not registered, they must complete the registration process within 30 days of receiving the work order.

They must provide proof of achieving the targeted performance generation for at least one 300 kW solar project with a minimum of two years of operation and maintenance.

Bidders must have commissioned, operated, and maintained solar projects of 10 MW or more capacity. One of these projects must have had a minimum capacity of 1.5 MW.

They must either be original solar systems manufacturers or their authorized dealers. If the bidders are not original manufacturers, they must submit a formal authorization letter from the manufacturer, specifically for the module and inverter components.

Bidders must have an average annual turnover of at least ₹59.61 million (~$681,793) over the past three years.

They must also have completed three similar works costing at least ₹79.48 million (~$909,058), two similar works costing at least ₹99.35 million (~$1.13 million), or one similar work costing at least ₹159.86 million (~$1.82 million) in the last seven years.

In November last year, Vadodara Municipal Corporation invited bids to commission 1.5 MW of solar projects in Gujarat along with comprehensive operation and maintenance for 25 years.
