Tender Floated for 2.7 MW of Solar Projects at Various Locations in Haryana

Haryana Shahri Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) has issued a notice inviting tender (NIT) for the supply, installation, and commissioning of 2.7 MW of grid-connected solar power projects at various locations of sewage treatment plants, water treatment plants, and waterworks in Ambala, Naraingarh, Kurukshetra and Kaithal in Haryana.

The project’s estimated cost is ₹94.5 million (~$1.25 million).

The last day to submit the bids is April 13, 2022. The bids will be opened on April 19.

Bidders must submit an earnest money deposit (EMD) of ₹1.89 million (~$25,000) to participate in the tender. Successful bidders must furnish 5% of the total contract value as a performance bank guarantee. As a security deposit, 10% of the gross amount of each running bill will be deducted until the cumulative amount of deduction plus EMD reaches 5% of the project cost.


Bidders must also pay ₹4,180 (~$55) towards bid documents and processing fees.

The projects must be commissioned within three months from the issuance of the work order. For any delay in commissioning, liquidity damages at 1% of the total project cost will be charged every day for the quantity of work remaining incomplete.

The scope of work includes developing and commissioning solar power projects at 12 locations in Ambala, Naraingarh, Kurukshetra, and Kaithal in different sectors for waterworks and water and sewage treatment plants. The developer must also provide operation and maintenance of the projects for five years.

To be eligible, bidders must have completed three works of similar nature costing not less than 40% of the project cost or completed two works of similar nature costing not less than 50% of the project cost. Alternatively, bidders could have also completed one work of similar nature, costing not less than 80% of the project cost.

Bidders can use polycrystalline or multicrystalline solar modules with more than 17% efficiency. The modules consisting of 72 solar cells of 330W or above must be used.

The modules must be warranted for their output watt capacity, which must not be less than 90% of the initial value at the end of ten years and 80% of the initial value at 15 years. The modules must have a performance warranty of more than 97.5% during the first year of installation.

HSVP has also issued a notice inviting tender for the supply, installation, and commissioning of 2.7 MW of grid-connected solar power projects at various sewage treatment plants, water treatment plants, and waterworks in Panchkula, Haryana.

According to Mercom’s India Solar Tender Tracker, 1,221.7 MW of tenders have been floated by various agencies in Haryana.
