The Telangana New and Renewable Energy Development Corporation (TNREDCL) has tendered 500 kW of grid-connected rooftop solar projects to be developed at the premises of Dr. MCR HRD Institute, Hyderabad. The bid submission deadline is May 25, 2017.

These projects will be developed under CAPEX mode and the scope of work includes, designing for shadow free installation of the SPV systems, supply and installation. The successful bidder will also have to provide comprehensive maintenance services for a five-year period.

Project completion timeframe is two months from the date of issue of letter of award. The TNREDCL will pay 70 percent of project cost to developer upon handing over of the systems to Dr. MCR HRD officials after joint inspection of TNREDCL, Dr. MCR HRD officials and supplier.

The developer will receive another 20 percent of the project cost after 30 days of successful performance of the rooftop systems. The TNREDCL will pay the remaining 10 percent of project cost on installment basis at the rate of 2 percent/year for the maintenance period of five years from the date of commissioning.

Maximum allowable Project cost for CAPEX Model is at the rate of Rs.60 (~$0.93)/W (As per latest MNRE Benchmark Cost) and the bids with project cost should be less than or equal to Rs.60 (~$0.93)/W.
