Telangana Issues Two EPC Tenders for 5.4 MW Solar Projects

The Northern Power Distribution Company of Telangana (TGNPDCL) has issued two tenders for the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of a cumulative 5.4 MW of ground-mounted solar projects at various locations on a build, operate, maintain, and transfer basis.

The projects located at 33/11KV SS Thallada in the Khammam district, Chennur in the Mancherial district, and Gangadhara in the Karimnagar district will have a capacity of 1 MW each. Projects located at 33/11KV SS Nallagonda and SS Nerella (CESS) in the Karimnagar district will have a capacity of 1.2 MW each.

Bids must be submitted by April 7, 2025. Bids will be opened on April 8.

Bidders must furnish a 2% bid security of their quoted capacity and a transaction fee of up to ₹500 million (~$ 5.8 million).

Bidders must also pay a corpus fund charge of 0.04% of the contract value at the time of the agreement, capped at ₹10,000 (~$114.85).

The scope of work entails the design, installation, testing, and commissioning of the solar projects. It also involves providing operations and maintenance services for a period of five .

The projects must be completed within six months. Modules used in the projects must be registered with the Bureau of Indian Standards and be listed in the Approved List of Module Manufacturers.

Tender 1

Bidders for the 1 MW tender must have installed a 1.5 MW ground-mounted and grid-connected solar system at government or private premises. They must also have a minimum turnover of ₹90 million (~$1 million) in the last three years.

Tender 2

Bidders for the 1.2 MW tender must have installed a 1.2 MW ground-mounted and grid-connected solar system at government or private premises. They must also have a minimum turnover of ₹72 million (~$841,509) in the last three years.

Bidders for the two tenders must have an average turnover value exceeding the contract value. They must have also evacuated 11 kV of energy over the last three financial years.

In March 2025, TGNPDCL issued two tenders to develop a cumulative capacity of 3.6 MW of ground-mounted solar projects in Warangal under a build, operate, maintain, and transfer model.
