The Telangana State Renewable Energy Development Corporation (TSREDCO) has invited bids to procure 50 MW of monocrystalline passivated emitter and rear contact (PERC) solar modules under the domestic content requirement (DCR) and non-DCR categories for utilization in grid-connected rooftop solar program (Phase-II) and other government projects.
The procurement quantity will be up to 50 MW for one year from the project’s commencement date.
The last date to submit the bids online is January 3, 2023. Bids will be opened the following day.
Bidders will have to submit ₹1 million (~$12,098) as a security deposit to participate in the bidding process.
Alternatively, bidders must submit ₹1 million (~$12,098) as a bank guarantee, with a validity of not less than 18 months.
The total quantity must be supplied within two weeks from the purchase order date.
The solar modules must be from the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) as issued by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.
Additionally, the supplier must be an approved ALMM-listed vendor or manufacturer, and the supplier must have an ALMM enlisted capacity of not less than 100 MW/year.
The modules should have a warranty of 10 years from the date of supply against manufacturing defects.
As per the bidding document, the solar modules must be warranted for their output peak watt capacity, which should not be less than 90% at the end of ten years and 80% at the end of 25 years.
Further, solar modules should perform satisfactorily with ambient temperatures between -10°C & +85°C and shall withstand gusts up to 170 Km/h on the panel’s surface.
Also, each solar module will be checked for conformity with the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) standards, and no negative power tolerance will be accepted.
The solar modules must be free from cracks, air bubbles or de-lamination, cells overlapping one another, scratches on the frame or glass, excessive or uneven glue marks on the glass or frame, and inconsistent cell colors.
In September this year, TSREDCO invited bids to install and commission 16 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar systems on the cycling track along two stretches of the outer ring road of the Hyderabad growth corridor in Telangana.
Earlier, TSREDCO had invited bids to install and commission 3.07 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar systems of various capacities with net metering at 1,521 government schools across Telangana.
