					</table><p><a href="https://avaada.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Avaada Energy</a>, <a href="https://sprngenergy.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Sprng Energy</a>, ReNew Solar Power (<a href="https://www.renew.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">ReNew</a>), and Solarcraft Power India 8 (<a href="https://blupineenergy.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">BluPine Energy</a>) won the Solar Energy Corporation of India’s (<a href="https://www.seci.co.in/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">SECI</a>) auction to set up 1 GW of inter-state transmission system (ISTS) connected solar power projects (Tranche XII).</p>
<p>Avaada, Sprng, and ReNew won 300 MW, 250 MW, and 300 MW, respectively, by quoting ₹2.52 (~$0.0303)/kWh. Solarcraft Power India 8 quoted ₹2.53 (~$0.0304)/kWh to win 150 MW capacity.</p>
<p>The other participants in the auction who qualified but did not win any capacities were Apraava Energy, SJVN Green Energy, and NTPC Renewable Energy.</p>
<p>The tender for the project was <u><a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/seci-1-gw-ists-connected-solar-projects" target="_blank" rel="noopener">floated</a></u> in October this year.</p>

<p>The tariff discovered represents the second lowest solar project auction tariff this year, matching NHPC’s 3 GW ISTS-connected solar <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/engie-avaada-jakson-mahindra-winners-nhpcs-solar-auction" target="_blank" rel="noopener">auction</a>.</p>
<p>The tariff was slightly higher than the lowest solar tariff this year at ₹2.51 (~$0.0302)/kWh <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/sprng-ib-vogt-hinduja-blupine-win-guvnls-500-solar-auction" target="_blank" rel="noopener">discovered</a> in Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam’s auction to supply power from 500 MW of grid-connected solar power projects (Tranche-XVIII).</p>
<p>The power procured from the projects will be sold by SECI to different entities over the 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) period.</p>
<p>The tender had specified that selected developers must commission the projects within 24 months of the effective PPA date.</p>
<p>The modules used in the project must be from the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s Approved List of Models and Manufacturers.</p>
<p>The developers will be responsible for identifying land, installing the project, and acquiring ownership of it, as well as ensuring that the necessary approvals and connectivity with the ISTS network are obtained to supply power to SECI.</p>
<p>The winners for the 2 GW ISTS-connected solar projects auction under Tranche XI in July this year <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/sael-renew-eden-jakson-winners-secis-solar-auction" target="_blank" rel="noopener">comprised</a> SAEL, ReNew, Eden Renewables, Jakson, Shiva Corporation, and Avaada Energy.</p>
<p>According to Mercom’s <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/product/india-solar-tender-tracker" target="_blank" rel="noopener">India Solar Tender Tracker</a>, SECI has issued tenders for a total of 20.4 GW of ISTS-connected solar power projects under Tranche-I to XII.</p>

Avaada, Sprng, ReNew and BluPine Win SECI’s 1 GW Solar Auction

<p><a href="https://www.ntpc.co.in/en/power-generation/renewable-energy" target="_blank" rel="noopener">NTPC Renewable</a>, Halvad Renewables (<a href="https://www.edf-re.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">EDF Renewables</a>), <a href="https://www.jsw.in/energy" target="_blank" rel="noopener">JSW Neo Energy</a>, and <a href="https://www.torrentpower.com/index.php/site/indexs" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Torrent Power</a> are winners in Solar Energy Corporation of India’s (<a href="https://www.seci.co.in/">SECI</a>) auction for the 1.2 GW interstate transmission system (ISTS)-connected wind power projects (Tranche-XII).</p>
<p>NTPC Renewables won 200 MW quoting a tariff of ₹2.89 (~$0.0373)/kWh and EDF 300 MW at ₹2.93 (~$0.0378)/kWh. JSW won 300 MW at ₹2.94 (~$0.0379), and Torrent Power 300 MW quoting ₹2.94 (~$0.0379)/kWh.</p>
<p>SJVN quoted 60 MW at ₹2.97 (~$0.038)/kWh, and Evergreen quoted 40 MW out of 140 MW at ₹2.98 (~$0.038)/kWh. But both these bids did not qualify as they were above the L1+2% tariff cut-off criteria per the tender. The capacity allotted in the auction was 1,100 MW.</p>
<p>The lowest tariff of ₹2.89 (~$0.0373)/kWh is nearly 7.4% more than the lowest tariff of ₹2.69 (~$0.038)/kWh <a href="https://mercomindia.com/adani-renew-power-win-seci-wind-auction/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">quoted</a> in the Tranche XI auction.</p>
<p><img decoding="async" loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-35680" src="https://cms.mercomindia.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/SECI-Updated.png" alt="SECI Updated" width="609" height="232" />The tender was <a href="https://mercomindia.com/seci-announces-tender-ists-wind/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">floated</a> in October last year. The tender specified that the project should be designed to interconnect with ISTS as per Central Electricity Regulatory Commission regulations. The wind developer will be responsible for acquiring the land required to set up the project.</p>
<p>The declared annual capacity utilization factor (CUF), under the tender, was to be above 22%. The wind developers must maintain generation to achieve an annual CUF of not less than 80% of the declared value and not over 120% of the declared CUF value during the 25 years of the power purchase agreement (PPA).</p>
<p>Only certified wind turbine models listed in the ‘Revised List of Models and Manufactures’ issued by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy are allowed for deployment under the program.</p>
<p><img decoding="async" loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-35682" src="https://cms.mercomindia.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/SECI-wind-2.png" alt="" width="805" height="453" />Last September, ReNew Power, Green Infra Wind Energy (Sembcorp), Anupavan Renewables (EverGreen), Adani Renewable Energy, and Azure Power were <a href="https://mercomindia.com/adani-renew-power-win-seci-wind-auction/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">declared</a> winners in SECI’s auction for 1,200 MW ISTS-connected wind power projects (Tranche-XI) in the country.</p>
<p>In January this year, SECI <a href="https://mercomindia.com/seci-issues-tender-ists-wind/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids to develop 1,200 MW of ISTS-connected wind power projects (Tranche XIII).</p>
<p>According to Mercom’s <a href="https://mercomindia.com/product/india-solar-tender-tracker/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">India Solar Tender Tracker</a>, SECI has tendered 16.3 GW of wind projects under Tranche I to XII.</p>
