<p>The Oil India Limited (<a href="https://www.oil-india.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">OIL</a>), a Navaratna enterprise, has issued a tender inviting bids for engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contracts for a hybrid project consisting of 41 MW (±5%) wind energy project and 14 MW solar project in Gujarat.</p>
<p>The project also entails comprehensive operation and maintenance for 25 years.</p>
<p>The hybrid project should be completed within 18 months from the date of issue of the Letter of Award (LoA).</p>
<p>The last date for the submission of bids is December 24, 2019.</p>
<p>The prospective bidders should pay a sum of ₹27.5 million (~$388,566) as the earnest money deposit (EMD).</p>
<p>According to the tender document, the bidder should be in the business of erection, installation, commissioning, and operation and maintenance of wind and solar projects.</p>
<p>The bidder must have the experience of having successfully executed one similar job of value not less than ₹2.5 billion (~$35.4 million) in the last seven years. Or, the bidder must be a manufacturer of wind energy equipment.</p>
<p>Another criteria listed by the OIL is, the system integrator/EPC contractor should have designed, engineered, installed, tested, and commissioned using tier one quality products for at least 10 MW (AC) grid-connected solar power projects.</p>
<p>The interested bidder should have successfully designed, engineered, manufactured, supplied, erected, and commissioned, on a turnkey basis, wind power projects of aggregate capacity of not less than 20.5 MW. The project must comprise of wind electric generators (WEGs) of the unit rating of 1,500 KW or above in any one year in the last seven years.</p>
<p>According to OIL, the annual financial turnover of the bidder during any of the preceding three financial years should be at least ₹1.67 billion (~$23.54 million).</p>
<p>Apart from providing EPC services, the successful bidder will also be responsible for liaising with all agencies along with the concerned power utilities for interconnection of the wind farm with the state grid, for commencing exporting the power generated from the hybrid project soon after its commissioning.</p>
<p>It will be the responsibility of the bidder to arrange for the capacity allocation or developers permission as applicable in the state by the renewable nodal agency of the state for the development of a hybrid (wind and solar) farm at the site.</p>
<p>OIL is engaged in the exploration, production, and transportation of crude oil and natural gas and production of LPG in India with participating interest in the engineering and procurement sector in various overseas projects.</p>
<p>As part of its green energy initiative, Oil India Limited is pursuing the generation of power from renewable sources.</p>
