					</table><p>SJVN Green Energy (<a href="https://sjvn.nic.in/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">SJVN</a>), Megha Engineering &amp; Infrastructures (<a href="https://meil.in/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">MEIL</a>), and <a href="https://avaada.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Avaada Energy</a> were amongst the winners of MSEB Solar Agro Power’s (MSAPL) auction to procure over 7 GW solar power under Component C of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM KUSUM) program.</p>
<p>The projects tendered by MSAPL, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Maharashtra State Electricity Board <a href="https://www.msebindia.com/en/home/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">MSEB Holding Company</a>, will be developed under the second phase of the Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana program.</p>
<p>SJVN won 1,352 MW capacity by quoting a minimum tariff of ₹3.02 (~$0.0365)/kWh and a maximum tariff of ₹3.10 (~$0.0374)/kWh. Megha Engineering won 1,880 MW with tariffs in the range of ₹3.08 (~$0.0372)/kWh and ₹3.10 (~$0.0374)/kWh, whereas Avaada Energy won 1,132 MW at ₹3.10 (~$0.0374)/kWh.</p>
<p>Maharashtra State Power Generation Company (<a href="https://mahagenco.in/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">MAHAGENCO</a>) won 1,071 MW at a maximum tariff of ₹3.10 (~$0.0374)/kWh.</p>
<p>The other winners are <a href="https://www.nacofoorja.com/index.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">NACOF Oorja</a> (990 MW), <a href="https://www.torrentpower.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Torrent Power</a> (306 MW), Integrated Induction Power (<a href="https://www.iiplindia.in/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">IIPL</a>) (302 MW), <a href="https://www.ril.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Reliance Industries</a> (179 MW), and <a href="https://www.sunstreamglobal.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Sunstream Green Energy</a> (100 MW).</p>
<p>A total of 7,783 MW was awarded during the auction.</p>
<p>The tariff range and the capacities bid by the winners are as mentioned in the table.</p>

<p>SJVN plans to develop a total of 1,352 MW capacity with a total investment of ₹74.36 billion (~$897.51 million) at various locations in the Nashik, Solapur, Ahmednagar, and Pune districts of Maharashtra.</p>
<p>Avaada Group will install the 1,132 MW solar power projects across 192 locations in 10 districts.</p>
<p>Torrent Power announced that it would deploy 306 MW capacity across 48 locations across Nasik district for an estimated cost of ₹15.4 billion (~$185.87 million).</p>
<p>The other winners who secured capacities less than 100 MW each include companies as well as individual entities, cumulatively accounting for 471 MW of the auctioned capacity.</p>
<p>The winners comprised 20 companies and 29 individual entities.</p>
<p>The scope of work for the selected developers includes ownership, financing, development, design, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of the project, including the evacuation infrastructure up to the delivery point.</p>
<p>The tender has mandated the use of domestically manufactured modules listed on the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers issued by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.</p>
<p>The modules must ensure a capacity utilization factor of 19%.</p>
<p>MSAPL has leased 1,686 acres of revenue land from the Maharashtra government under land lease agreements. The annual sub-lease rent for such revenue land will be ₹1 (~$0.012)/ hectare.</p>
<p>If bidders require private land, MSAPL has compiled a list of private land parcels available for lease on its portal. The base lease rent for such private lands will be ₹125,000 (~$1,503)/hectare/annum or 6% of the ready reckoner rate, whichever is higher, with a provision of 3% escalation annually.</p>
<p>If the developers intend to use any other land, they must lease or procure 100% of the required land for a period not less than the complete term of PPA on or before the scheduled commission date.</p>
<p>Recently, the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/maharashtra-invites-bids-grid-connected-solar-projects" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids for the procurement of power on a long-term basis through a competitive bidding process from 5,000 MW grid-connected solar photovoltaic power projects.</p>

SJVN, MEIL, Avaada Among Winners in Maharashtra’s 7.78 GW Solar KUSUM Tender

					</table><p><a href="https://ntpcrel.co.in/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">NTPC Renewable Energy</a>, a wholly owned subsidiary of <a href="https://www.ntpc.co.in/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">NTPC</a>, has invited bids for the balance of system package (BoS) for a 1,000 MW inter-state transmission system (ISTS)-connected wind energy project at Solapur in Maharashtra.</p>
<p>The last date for submitting bids is March 15, 2024. Bids will be opened on the same day.</p>
<p>The scope of the work involves the design, engineering, micro-siting, manufacturing, supply, erection, testing and commissioning, and proving the guaranteed performance parameters for installation of the project starting from 33kV internal evacuation lines from the unit substation, pooling substation, central monitoring, and control station (CMCS), wind monitoring masts, and external EHV transmission lines until the ISTS substation.</p>
<p>The wind BoS package does not include the provision, construction, and setup of wind turbine generators , unit substations, and supervisory control and data acquisition.</p>
<p>Bidders have to submit ₹22500 (~$271.16) as cost of the bidding documents.</p>
<p>They must have undertaken the following tasks for wind projects with a combined capacity of 40 MW or more, including at least one wind project with a capacity of 10 MW or higher:</p>
<ul>
<li>Securing land for the wind energy project</li>
<li>Micro-siting of wind turbines.</li>
</ul>
<p>Alternatively, bidders must have developed grid-connected wind projects with a cumulative installed capacity of 40 MW or more, including at least one project of 10 MW or higher capacity at a single location.</p>
<p>The specified reference project of 10 MW or higher must have been in operation for a minimum of six months before the date of bid opening.</p>
<p>In the last ten years, bidders should have executed an industrial project, either as developers or EPC contractors, in sectors such as power, steel, oil and gas, petrochemical, fertilizer, cement, or any other process industry.</p>
<p>The project should meet the minimum financial criteria specified below and have been in  operation for at least one year or six months before the date of bid opening:</p>
<ul>
<li>The minimum financial figure for the total quoted capacity from 50 MW to 300 MW should be ₹690 million (~$8.3 million)/MW</li>
<li>For projects more than 300 MW, the minimum financial figure should be ₹2.3 million (~$27,710.35)/MW</li>
</ul>
<p>Bidders must demonstrate a track record of at least one year of operation for industrial projects in sectors other than the renewable energy.</p>
<p>For projects in the renewable energy sector (solar/wind), a minimum of six months of  operation is required.</p>
<p>Additionally, bidders should have successfully executed at least one electrical sub-station with a voltage level of 33kV or above. This sub-station should include equipment such as circuit breakers and power transformer at the specified voltage level. The sub-station must have been in operation for at least one year or six months before the date of bid.</p>
<p>Bidders must possess a positive net worth as of the final day of the previous financial year.</p>
<p>NTPC Renewable Energyhad <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/ntpcs-renewable-arm-wind-solar-hybrid-power" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids for the selection of hybrid power generators for the supply of 1,000 MW power from ISTS-connected wind-solar hybrid projects anywhere in India under Tranche-V.</p>
<p>Recently, NTPC <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/ntpc-tender-1-5-gw-ists-connected-solar-projects" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids to set up 1,500 MW of ISTS-connected solar power projects across India.</p>

					</table><p><a href="https://www.ntpc.co.in/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">NTPC</a> has invited bids for the operation and maintenance (O&amp;M) of a 23.3 MW grid-connected solar power project at Solapur for a period of twenty-four months.</p>
<p>The last date to submit the bid is July 20, 2023. Bids will be opened the same day.</p>
<p>The scope of work involves overseeing the functioning, upkeep, and cleanliness of the complete solar PV facility, which consists of three separate blocks. Block-1 and Block-2 have a capacity of 10 MW each, and Block-3 has a capacity of 3.3 MW.</p>
<p>Currently, only Block-2, which has a capacity of 10 MW, has been commissioned. The remaining two blocks will be installed and commissioned soon.</p>
<p>Bidders must submit an earnest money deposit of ₹2 million ($24,212).</p>
<p>The successful bidders have to submit 10% of the contracted amount as a performance bank guarantee.</p>
<p>Bidders must have completed the installation and commissioning or operation and maintenance of a grid-connected solar project with a capacity of at least 5 MW or above within the seven years preceding the date of the techno-commercial bid opening.</p>
<p>They should have experience in executing works related to the supply, erection, commissioning, maintenance, and operation of equipment, including inverters and solar modules, for solar power projects meeting the following criteria:</p>
<p>Execution of a single order with a value not less than ₹8.2 million (~$99,282), or execution of two orders, each with a value not less than ₹5.1 million (~$61,752), or the execution of three orders, each with a value not less than ₹4.1 million (~$49,644).</p>
<p>Bidder must have an average annual turnover of at least ₹10.2 million (~$123,507) in the three preceding financial years.</p>
<p>Recently, NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam, a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC, <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/ntpc-subsidiary-1-5-mw-solar-project-at-iim-bodh-gaya" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids from enlisted developers for setting up a 1.5 MW grid-connected solar power project at IIM Bodh Gaya.</p>
<p>Earlier this month, NTPC Renewable Energy, another wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC, <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/ntpc-reissues-tender-bess-solar-projects-in-gujarat" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reissued</a> the tender to supply battery energy storage systems for solar power projects at the Khavda Renewable Energy Park in the Kutch region of Gujarat.</p>

NTPC Invites Bids for O&M of a 23.3 MW Solar Project in Maharashtra

<p>NTPC Limited has invited bids for 33.6 MW of solar photovoltaic (PV) modules for a solar project in Solapur, Maharashtra.</p>
<p>The scope of work includes the manufacturing, supply, packing, forwarding, transporting, and supervising the installation and commissioning of the modules at the project site.</p>
<p>An NTPC official confirmed to Mercom that the solar project would have a nominal DC capacity of 33.6 MW.</p>
<p>The modules must use crystalline technology and must have a wattage of 330W, and a DC voltage of 1500 kV. The tender has been floated under the open category, and domestic content requirement (DCR) has not been mandated.</p>
<p>Interested bidders are expected to submit an earnest money deposit of ₹10 million (~$133,677). The last date for the submission of bids is May 24, 2020.</p>
<p>To be eligible to place bids, the applicants must have experience of manufacturing and supplying at least 26 MW of solar modules, of which at least one supply order should have been at least 6 MW. This reference 6 MW order must have been in successful operation for at least six months before the date of techno-commercial bid opening.</p>
<p>Alternatively, the bidder can be a group company, holding company, or a subsidiary of a module manufacturer who meets the above criteria. Bidders are also expected to have an annual turnover of not less than ₹5.5 million (~$73,522) in the last three financial years with net worth not less than 100% of their paid-up capital as of the last day of the preceding financial year.</p>
<p>Recently, the NTPC <a href="https://mercomindia.com/ntpc-invites-bids-switchgear-package-solar-project/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">floated</a> an invitation for bids for a high tension switchgear package for its solar project at Solapur.</p>
<p>In April 2020, the NTPC <a href="https://mercomindia.com/ntpc-floats-tender-install-solar-power-project/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">invited</a> bids for the installation and commissioning package of a solar PV project at Solapur in Maharashtra.</p>
<p>Earlier, NTPC had <a href="https://mercomindia.com/ntpc-tenders-inverter-transformer-package/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">invited</a> bids for an inverter transformer package for the Solapur solar PV project in Maharashtra.</p>

<p>The National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (<a href="https://www.ntpc.co.in/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">NTPC</a>) has invited bids for the installation and commissioning package of a solar PV project at Solapur in Maharashtra.</p>
<p>The scope of work includes the installation and commissioning of the solar PV project through the Domestic Content Requirement (DCR) route. The major components required for the project development will be supplied by the NTPC, including modules, inverters, power cables, breakers, transformers, and energy meters, which will be issued by NTPC to the instrumentation &amp; control (I&amp;C) contractor.</p>
<p>The last date for the submission of bids is June 03, 2020, and the pre-bid meeting will take place on May 20, 2020. Interested bidders will have to submit an amount of ₹2 million (~$26,166) as the earnest money deposit (EMD).</p>
<p>To take part in the bidding process, the bidder should have installed solar PV-based grid-connected power projects of cumulative installed capacity of at least 18 MW, out of which at least one project should have been of 5 MW or above.</p>
<p>The reference project should have been in successful operation for at least six months before the date of the techno-commercial bid opening. The bidder should have executed at least one electrical substation of 11 kV or above voltage level consisting of at least circuit breakers and cabling works of value not less than ₹90 million (~$1.17 million) in a single project.</p>
<p>Regarding the financial criteria, the average annual turnover of the bidder should not be less than ₹110 million (~$14.52 million) during the preceding three years. In case the bidder does not satisfy the annual turnover criteria on its own, its holding company will be required to meet the stipulated turnover requirements. The net worth of the holding company as on the last day of the preceding financial year should be equal to more than the paid-up share capital of the holding company.</p>
<p>The net worth of the bidder as on the last day of the preceding financial year should not be less than 100% of the bidder’s paid-up share capital. In case the bidder does not satisfy the net worth criteria on its own, it can meet the requirements on the strength of its subsidiaries or holding companies.</p>
<p>Recently, NTPC <a href="https://mercomindia.com/ntpc-tender-solapur-solar-project/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">invited</a> bids from eligible bidders for the supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) and weather monitoring system (WMS) package for Solapur solar power project in Maharashtra. The contract also included one year of maintenance.</p>
<p>Earlier, NTPC had <a href="https://mercomindia.com/ntpc-tenders-inverter-transformer-package/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">invited</a> bids for an inverter transformer package for the Solapur solar PV project in Maharashtra. The scope of work includes the design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, packaging, testing, installation, and commissioning of inverter-transformer of minimum cumulative capacity of 23 MVA having an HV side voltage of 11 kV at Solapur.</p>

NTPC Floats Tender to Install a Solar Power Project at Solapur in Maharashtra

<p><a href="https://www.tatapower.com/contact/media-contact.aspx">Tata Power</a> has announced its partnership with <a href="https://www.netmagicsolutions.com/">NTT-Com-Netmagic</a> to build its first 50 MW solar power project in Solapur, located in the state of in Maharashtra.</p>
<p>The solar power project aims to reduce carbon emissions at an average of about 70,000 tons annually, according to the company’s statement. The power generated from this project will be supplied to NTT-Netmagic’s data centers across Maharashtra.</p>
<p>Poolawadi Windfarm Limited, a subsidiary of Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), has signed definitive agreements to supply 50 MW of solar power to NTT Com-Netmagic.</p>
<p>According to the company, the power will be supplied through open access under a long-term power purchase agreement.</p>
<p>As per the agreement, the solar project will be built in phases with an initial capacity of 35 MW, which will increase to 50 MW within two years from the time of initial commissioning of the project.</p>
<p>“This project epitomizes our continued commitment to ensuring the sustainable development of India’s digital growth story. We have also been using renewable sources of energy, including wind and solar power plants in Bengaluru and Chennai through open access.<em>,”</em> said Sharad Sanghi, managing director, NTT Com-Netmagic. Headquartered in Mumbai, Netmagic, is a managed hosting and multi-cloud hybrid IT solution provider.</p>
<p>Meanwhile, Praveer Sinha, the chief operating officer of Tata Power said<strong>, </strong><em>“</em>This is our first big initiative through a captive route, and the company continues to build the foundation for  significant growth in renewables.”</p>
<p>In April 2019, Tata Power decided not to build any new coal-fired power project in the future and said that the majority of its power capacity expansion would take place through renewable energy. The move by the country’s largest power producer was mentioned by the Institute of Energy Economics and Financial Analysis (IEEFA) in its ‘<a href="https://mercomindia.com/tata-power-decides-to-pull-the-plug-on-coal/">Tata Power: Renewables to Power Growth’</a> report.</p>
<p>Talking about Solapur, Mercom reported that <a href="https://mercomindia.com/maharashtra-rfs-floating-solar-tariff/">the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited</a> (MSEDCL) issued a request for selection for the purchase of power from 1,000 MW of grid-connected floating solar PV power projects on Ujjani dam in Solapur district.</p>
