<p>Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel (SVP) National Police Academy has issued a tender for the development of a rooftop solar project of 1 MW capacity.</p>
<p>According to the tender documents, the project will be developed on a RESCO (renewable energy service company) model. The project will be installed at “Site-B” of the academy located in Shivrampally, Hyderabad.</p>
<p>The scope of work under this tender involves the installation, testing, maintenance, and operation of the project for 25 years. Bidders would be selected based on the lowest tariff quoted. The ceiling tariff for bids in this tender has been set at ₹5.59 ($0.079)/kWh. Developers will be allotted a timeline of six months for the completion of the project.</p>
<p>The tender guidelines mandate that crystalline solar modules from 250 W up to 300 W capacity should be deployed for this project. Selected bidders would be expected to give a minimum generation guarantee for the project.</p>
<p>The earnest money deposit (EMD) amount for this project is ₹60,000 ($845). Bidders are also expected to submit a net worth certificate of ₹60 million ($845,000) to be eligible to participate in this tender.</p>
<p>The last date for the submission of bids under this tender is November 8, 2019.</p>
<p>Recently, the <a href="http://www.delhipolice.nic.in/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Delhi Police</a> also <a href="https://mercomindia.com/delhi-police-rooftop-solar/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">signed</a> a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (<a href="http://seci.co.in/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">SECI</a>) to install rooftop solar systems on its establishments. Through this MoU, it is estimated that rooftop solar systems of 3-4 MW capacity will be installed across various Delhi Police buildings in the national capital.</p>
<p>Last month, the New and Renewable Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh (NREDCAP) <a href="https://mercomindia.com/andhra-floats-resco-tender-rooftop-solar/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">issued</a> a tender for 15 MW capacity grid-connected rooftop solar projects to be set up atop government buildings across the state. These rooftop solar projects would also be developed under the RESCO model.</p>
