<p>The Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (<a href="https://www.seci.co.in/whats-new-detail/1035" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">SECI</a>) has announced a notice inviting tender (NIT) for the development of 10 MW grid-connected solar PV power project at Bagru in Jaipur district of Rajasthan.</p>
<p>According to Mercom’s <a href="https://mercomindia.com/product/india-solar-project-tracker/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">India Solar Project Tracker</a>, Rajasthan has about 4.8 GW of large-scale solar projects in operation, and approximately 7.5 GW is currently under the development pipeline.</p>
<p>The request for selection (RfS) document with all the necessary details will be issued on June 5, 2020. Mercom will publish the details of the tender after the release of the document.</p>
<p>Meanwhile, SECI <a href="https://mercomindia.com/renew-power-seci-round-clock-renewable-tender/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">announced</a> the winner of its tender for 400 MW of renewable power on a round-the-clock (RTC) basis. In this, ReNew Power won the auction for the entire tendered capacity of 400 MW with a quoted tariff of ₹2.90 (~$0.038)/kWh. SECI has set an annual escalation of 3% on the quoted tariff up to the end of the 15th year of the contract, as per the power purchase agreement (PPA).</p>
<p>Mercom <a href="https://mercomindia.com/seci-renewable-tender-energy-storage-oversubscribed/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">reported</a> that the tender was oversubscribed by 550 MW after SECI received bids for 950 MW in total. It received bids from Greenko for a capacity of 400 MW, ReNew Power for 400 MW, HES Infra for 100 MW, and Ayana for 50 MW.</p>
<p>In October last year, SECI had <a href="https://mercomindia.com/seci-tender-round-clock-renewables-energy-storage/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">issued</a> a tender to procure 400 MW of renewable energy on a round-the-clock basis. The energy procured through these projects will be supplied to the New Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) and Dadra and Nagar Haveli.</p>
<p>Also, in April 2020, SECI <a href="https://mercomindia.com/seci-announces-tender-solar-projects/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">issued</a> an RfS for 2.5 GW of interstate-connected solar projects under Tranche X (ISTS-X) at the Ultra Mega Renewable Energy Power Park (UMREPP) in Koppal district of Karnataka. The scope of work for the 2.5 GW solar tender includes the acquisition of land, connectivity, and obtaining Long-Term Access (LTA) approvals by the solar power developer.</p>
