<p>The Rajasthan Electronics and Instruments Limited (<a href="http://www.reiljp.com/HindiWeb/indexH.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">REIL</a>), Jaipur, a government-owned manufacturer of electronic products, has invited bids from Indian manufacturers to supply multicrystalline silicon solar cells.</p>
<p>The last date for the submission of the bids is January 6, 2020. The tender has been floated for 500,000 multicrystalline solar cells of 4.5 W, 500,000 multicrystalline solar cells of 4.6 W, and 300,000 multicrystalline solar cells of 4.67 W. The tender, however, adds that the actual tender quantity might increase or decrease in line with REIL’s requirements.</p>
<p>The solar cell size should be 156*156 ± 1.0 mm or 156.75*156.75 ± 1.0 mm, and the type of the cell should be 5 busbars multicrystalline silicon solar cell. The thickness of the cell should be 200 +/- 20 µm.</p>
<p>As far as the eligibility criteria are concerned, only Indian manufacturers are eligible to quote for this tender. The bidder should have a minimum of 50 MW annual production capacity for crystalline silicon solar cells. The bidder should also have cumulatively supplied 4 MW of 156.75&#215;156.75 mm crystalline silicon solar cells of ≥ 4.50 W to Indian customers during the last year.</p>
<p>The contract period is valid up to March 2020, but the vendor can indicate an applicable contract period if this is not feasible. The quantity is to be supplied on a monthly shipment basis, and the delivery period may be extended by REIL if required.</p>
<p>As for the qualification certificate, all consignments must be accompanied by a test report and a qualification certificate from the manufacturer indicating compliance with the required specifications.</p>
<p>Earlier, REIL had <a href="https://mercomindia.com/reil-tenders-solar-cells-module/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">issued</a> three separate notices inviting tenders for rate contacts for the procurement of 4.5 W and 4.6 W solar cells along with module mounting structures.</p>
<p>Previously, Mercom had <a href="https://mercomindia.com/reil-tender-solar-modules/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">reported</a> that REIL had announced a tender for the manufacturing of crystalline solar photovoltaic modules of 75 W. The scope of work for the tender included contract manufacturing of crystalline SPV modules of 75 W made from 36 crystalline silicon solar cells.</p>
