<p>The <a href="http://www.upsavesenergy.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency</a> (UPNEDA) has issued a request for proposal (RfP) for the procurement of 500 MW of power from grid-connected solar PV projects.</p>
<p>The last date for the submission of bids is October 22, 2019.</p>
<p>The interested bidders will have to submit ₹682,000 (~$9,582.1) as the earnest money deposit (EMD) while the fee for the RfP document is ₹29,500 (~$413.87) including Goods and Services Tax (GST).</p>
<p>The capacity of each solar power project will be a minimum of 5 MW and the maximum capacity will be 500 MW.</p>
<p>The successful bidder will be responsible for supplying power to the procurer for 25 years under the power purchase agreement (PPA).</p>
<p>Regarding the financial criteria, the net worth of the successful bidder should not be less than ₹6,820,000 (~$95,821)/ MW.</p>
<p>The tariff ceiling for this tender is ₹3.25 (~$0.046)/kWh.</p>
<p>As far as the technical parameters are concerned, all components of the solar PV project should be in accordance with the technical specifications of the International Standard (IS) or International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). Further, all solar PV modules and solar cells used in the projects should be from the models and manufacturers included in the ALMM (Approved List of Models &amp; Manufacturers) issued by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE).</p>
<p><a href="https://mercomindia.com/uttar-pradesh-solar-tender-500-mw/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Earlier this year</a>, the state announced a tender for 500 MW of grid-connected solar projects. The upper tariff ceiling for this tender was ₹3.05 (~$0.043)/kWh.</p>
<p>A few days ago, UPNEDA also floated a tender for gird-interactive rooftop solar power projects between <a href="https://mercomindia.com/uttar-pradesh-rooftop-solar-tender-2/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">1 kW to 25 kW</a> at various locations in the state. The tender aims to install a cumulative capacity of 60 MW.</p>
