					</table><p>InSolare Energy <a href="https://mercomindia.com/insolare-bags-order-to-supply-bos-package-for-1-2-gwh-bess-from-seci" target="_blank" rel="noopener">won</a> Solar Energy Corporation of India’s (SECI) auction to supply the balance of system (BoS) package for a 600 MW/1,200 MWh standalone battery energy storage system (BESS) project in Kolimigundla, Nandyal District, Andhra Pradesh. The tender was issued in August this year. The scope of work includes the design, engineering, procurement, supply, testing, civil works, installation, erection, commissioning, and performance demonstration of the BoS components with comprehensive operation and maintenance for five years.</p>
<p>The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/mnre-issues-standard-operating-procedure-for-almm-wind-turbine-enlistment" target="_blank" rel="noopener">issued</a> standard operating procedures for the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers Wind (ALMM-Wind) and the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers Wind Turbine Components. For a wind turbine model to qualify for ALMM-Wind, it must possess a valid type certificate issued by an accredited certification body. The certificate must clearly identify the associated components like blades, towers, gearboxes, generators, and bearings. These elements must conform to the relevant technical and performance standards.</p>
<p>The Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/haryana-issues-tariff-determination-terms-for-renewable-energy-projects" target="_blank" rel="noopener">issued</a> the terms and conditions for determining tariffs for renewable energy projects, renewable purchase obligations, and renewable energy certificates. The regulations will come into force on April 1, 2026, and remain in effect until March 31, 2029. These regulations will apply to all grid-connected renewable energy projects and obligated entities in Haryana.</p>
<p>Aiming to <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/bhuvee-stenovates-1-mw-rooftop-solar-system-to-pay-itself-back-in-15-months" target="_blank" rel="noopener">lower</a> electricity expenses and advance its sustainability goals, Bhuvee Stenovate, which manufactures and trades in kitchen utensils, sinks, and other general utility steel products, commissioned a 999.9 kW rooftop solar project at its facility in Kharagpur, West Bengal. The installation, executed by Galaxy Solar Energy, features 1,818 Premier 550 Wp modules paired with 7 GoodWe 120 kW inverters and an Aluminum T6063 Mono-Rail mounting structure of 75 mm height × 120 mm length. Together, the components ensure high conversion efficiency and long-term system reliability.</p>
<p>Nagpur-based MOIL, a state-owned manganese-ore mining company, <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/mining-firm-moil-invites-bids-for-15-mw-solar-project-in-madhya-pradesh" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids for a 15 MW grid-connected solar project at Rajgarh Khas in Madhya Pradesh. Bids must be submitted by December 2, 2025. Bids will be opened on December 4. The scope of work includes the design, engineering, procurement, and commissioning, followed by five years of O&amp;M services after a one-year warranty or performance demonstration period.</p>
<p>The Telangana Power Generation Corporation <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/telangana-floats-tender-to-prepare-dprs-for-57-mw-solar-projects" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids to prepare detailed project reports for solar projects of a cumulative capacity of 57 MW. The last date to submit bids is November 19, 2025. Bids will be opened on November 20. Bidders must furnish an earnest money deposit of ₹8,332 (~$94). They must submit a transaction fee of 0.03% of the contract value up to ₹10,000 (~$113) if the quoted value is up to ₹500 million (~$5.6 million), and up to ₹25,000 (~$283) if the estimated value is above ₹500 million (~$5.6 million).</p>
<p>Solar module manufacturer Alpex Solar will <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/alpex-to-manufacture-2-2-gw-of-topcon-solar-cells-in-uttar-pradesh-plant" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invest</a> ₹31.36 billion (~$353.77 million) to upgrade its 2.2 GW cell manufacturing facility from Mono PERC to TOPCon in Kosi Kotwan, Uttar Pradesh. The company had earlier proposed to manufacture 1.6 GW of MONO PERC cells at the facility. Under Phase I, Alpex aims to achieve 1.4 GW capacity for G12R TOPCon solar cells. It plans the trial production of these cells by the first quarter of the financial year (FY) 2027. Under Phase II, it proposes to install the remaining 800 MW capacity within six months of completing Phase I.</p>
<p>Data center company Nxtra Data, a subsidiary of Bharti Airtel, will <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/nxtra-to-source-power-from-ampins-13-mw-solar-project-in-maharashtra" target="_blank" rel="noopener">procure</a> power from a 13.2 MW solar project in captive mode from AMPIN Energy C&amp;I Sixteen, a special purpose vehicle (SPV) of AMPIN C&amp;I. The project will be developed in Dighol-Islamnpur district, Maharashtra. AMPIN C&amp;I is a joint venture between independent power producer AMPIN Energy Transition and Japan-based Sumitomo Corporation. Nxtra has entered into an agreement with the SPV to acquire a 35% equity stake for an aggregate value of ₹51.92 million (~$586,788).</p>
<p>Larsen &amp; Toubro (L&amp;T), in partnership with Hitachi Energy, has been <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/lt-supply-hvdc-converter-stations-tennets-north-sea-wind-projects" target="_blank" rel="noopener">nominated</a> by transmission system operator TenneT to deliver high voltage direct current converter stations for offshore wind projects across the German and Dutch sectors of the North Sea. L&amp;T’s power transmission and distribution vertical also won a batch of grid infrastructure orders in Saudi Arabia as part of the country’s National Renewable Energy Program.</p>
<p>U.S.-headquartered manufacturer of glass for industrial and scientific applications, Corning, <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/corning-begins-solar-ingot-and-wafer-production-at-michigan-facility" target="_blank" rel="noopener">operationalized</a> a solar ingot and wafer facility, co-located with its polysilicon manufacturing plant in Hemlock, Michigan. Corning brought the facility on stream in the third quarter (Q3) of 2025. During its Q3 earnings call, the company said it activated its idle assets to meet domestic polysilicon demand. “We added the capability to transform our polysilicon into higher-value, domestically made solar wafers, all integrated together on our campus in Michigan,” said Wendell Weeks, CEO at Corning.</p>

					</table><p><a href="https://insolare.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">InSolare Energy<strong> </strong></a>has won Solar Energy Corporation of India’s (<a href="https://www.seci.co.in/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">SECI</a>) auction to supply the balance of system (BoS) package for a 600 MW/1,200 MWh standalone battery energy storage system (BESS) project in Kolimigundla, Nandyal District, Andhra Pradesh.</p>
<p>The tender was <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/seci-tenders-600-mw-1200-mwh-bess-project-in-andhra-pradesh/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">issued</a> in August this year.</p>
<p>The scope of work includes the design, engineering, procurement, supply, testing, civil works, installation, erection, commissioning, and performance demonstration of the BoS components with comprehensive operation and maintenance (O&amp;M) for five years.</p>
<p>The O&amp;M scope includes preventive and breakdown maintenance, spare parts, insurance, and compliance with service level agreements mandating 100% serviceability and a maximum 72-hour fault rectification window. The scope also provides for a defect liability period of 12 months and a latent defect liability period of five years covering design and manufacturing defects.</p>
<p>The BESS will be interconnected with the Kurnool-3 Substation of the interstate transmission system network to implement market-based operation of the BESS at Kolimigundla.</p>
<p>Recently, Pace Digitek <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/pace-digitek-bags-order-to-supply-1-2-gwh-bess-from-seci/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">won</a> the auction for the same project to supply DC battery blocks with HVAC and fire protection systems, along with the power conversion, battery management, and energy management systems. Pace will also handle testing and commissioning of the full system, including performance demonstrations and trial operations. It will also provide comprehensive maintenance for fifteen years after commissioning.</p>
<p>India added 48.4 MWh of energy storage capacity in the first half (1H) of 2025, a 74% decline from 186 MWh added in the same period last year, according to the newly released <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/product/india-energy-storage-landscape-1h-2025" target="_blank" rel="noopener">India’s Energy Storage Landscape 1H 2025 Report</a> by Mercom India Research.</p>
<p>Solar-plus-storage systems accounted for nearly 56% of India’s cumulative installed capacity. This was followed by more than 32% from solar-plus-wind projects with round-the-clock capability, and over 12% from standalone battery energy storage systems. The remaining share came from floating solar with storage, and solar-plus-wind projects with storage capabilities.</p>
<p>India’s cumulative installed energy storage capacity reached 490 MWh by the end of June 2025.</p>

<p>Tata Power Solar was the top EPC player with a market share of 32.7%, followed by Jakson Green and Ashoka Buildcon, with 32.1% and 6.5%, respectively. Gensol Engineering and InSolare Energy rounded off the top five with 6.2% and 5.1%.</p>
<p>The top five utility-scale solar EPC service providers accounted for 82.6% of the market share.</p>

<p>Tata Power Solar’s cumulative large-scale installed solar capacity in EPC mode was 6.4 GW as of June 2024.</p>
<p>During the first half of 2024, Tata Power <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/seci-commissions-120-mwh-bess-chhattisgarh" target="_blank" rel="noopener">commissioned</a> the country’s largest solar and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) project. The project comprises 100 MW solar capacity and 40MW/120 MWh utility-scale BESS system at Rajnandgaon in Chhattisgarh.</p>
<p>Jakson Green’s cumulative installed solar capacity was 2.8 GW. Jakson Green commissioned 40 MW of solar power project in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. The project was awarded by <a href="https://ngel.in/ngel-home" target="_blank" rel="noopener">NTPC Green Energy</a>.</p>
<p>Ashoka Buildcon entered the top ten list in 1H 2024 in third position by commissioning its first 150 MW solar project. The project was <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/tata-ashoka-buildcon-ntpc-auction" target="_blank" rel="noopener">awarded</a> as a part of NTPC’s EPC auction for 1,070 MW of solar projects in December 2020.</p>

					</table><p><a href="https://insolare.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">InSolare Energy</a>, a Bengaluru-headquartered renewable developer and engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) company, has raised ₹660 million (~$7.96 million) in a growth funding round.</p>
<p>The funding was led by <a href="https://negenpms.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Negen Capital</a>, with participation from Mukul Aggarwal, <a href="https://anchoragecap.in/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Anchorage Capital Fund</a>, and Ankit Mittal – Khazana Tradelink.</p>
<p>The company plans to utilize the funding to enhance its portfolio and EPC execution capabilities.</p>
<p>InSolare Energy’s portfolio comprises over 300 MW of EPC orders and 500 MW of solar parks under execution.</p>
<p>Last year, the company announced the completion of multiple projects, including a 70 MW solar park in Jalna, a 90 MW solar park in Karnataka, and a 40 MW captive project for a large cement company in Chhattisgarh.</p>

<p>Insolare Energy was ranked in the top 10 large-scale solar EPC companies during the first half of 2023 in Mercom’s <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/product/mercoms-india-solar-market-leaderboard-1h-2023-market-shares-profiles" target="_blank" rel="noopener">India Solar Market Leaderboard 1H 2023</a>. The first six months of the year witnessed some notable shifts in market shares from the previous year.</p>
<p>According to Mercom Capital Group’s newly released <a href="https://mercomcapital.com/product/annual-q4-2023-solar-funding-ma-report/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Annual and Q4 2023 Solar Funding and M&amp;A Report</a>, global corporate funding in the solar sector in 2023, including venture capital investments, public market funding, and debt financing, reached $34.3 billion, a 42% year-over-year increase from $24.1 billion. This was the largest amount raised in over a decade.</p>
<p>Another India-based solar EPC and consulting firm, Gensol Engineering, recently <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/solar-epc-firm-equity-to-strengthen-its-finances" target="_blank" rel="noopener">raised</a> ₹9 billion (~$108.60 million) in equity capital through warrants convertible into equity shares on a preferential basis. The equity funding saw participation from international and domestic participants, including the Elara India Opportunity Fund, Aries Opportunities Fund, and Tano Investment Opportunities Fund.</p>
