<p>Hanergy’s subsidiary, Donghan New Energy Automotive Technology, inked a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Bluecar, a subsidiary of France&#8217;s Bollore Group for developing EVs.</p>
<p>Under the strategic agreement, the two parties will discuss the possibilities of collaboration in design, manufacturing, and production the solar EVs. The two companies plan to enter into four special agreements to deepen their cooperation.</p>
<p>Both parties will cooperate in the development of solar vehicles. While Hanergy’s mobile energy strategy has been fully integrated, Bluecar has mature automotive designs, R&amp;D, and mass production capabilities. The cooperation between the two parties intends to guarantee the life and safety of solar vehicles.</p>
<p>The agreement would also enable an innovative cooperation in the development of solar power and solid-state lithium battery energy storage, utilizing solar energy as a source of power for lithium batteries.</p>
<p>The two companies also plan to carry out cooperative business of new energy vehicles in the field of intelligent travel and public transportation. In 2008, Bluecar had proposed the concept of internet-sharing cars and successfully operated on a global scale, with extensive experience in smart travel and public transportation. Hanergy has already landed many transportation projects in ecological cities, such as intelligent bus stations in mainland China. The cooperation between the two parties at this stage has already established a good hardware and software foundation.</p>
<p>Finally, the two parties will also cooperate in the development and construction of R&amp;D centers, production bases, and other projects in  Asia, Africa, and the Americas.</p>
<p>Rising awareness about the environmental and monetary benefits of using EVs has led to increased activity in this fledgling sector.</p>
<p>Recently, Mercom <a href="https://mercomindia.com/abb-developing-solar-charging-stations-e-rickshaws-jabalpur/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> that ABB is teaming up with transportation officials in the city of Jabalpur to help create a network of solar-powered charging stations that will be used to power e-rickshaws.</p>
<p>RT Koytango Private Limited, a part of <a href="https://hriman.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Hriman Motors LLP</a>, also recently <a href="https://mercomindia.com/rt-koytango-ev-charging-delhi/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announced</a> that it is setting up free EV charging stations in New Delhi, connected to grid tied rooftop solar power projects. The solar charging stations will offer 100 percent free EV charging to every vehicle in the national capital.</p>
