<p>Here are some noteworthy cleantech announcements of the day from around the world:</p>
<p><a href="https://www.jinkosolar.com/en" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><strong>Jinko Solar</strong></a><strong>, a solar module manufacturer, claims to have achieved a record conversion efficiency of 24.90% for its large-area N-type monocrystalline silicon solar cell.</strong> The result was certified by the Institute for Solar Energy Research in Hamelin, Germany. The monocrystalline silicon solar cell was fabricated on a high quality, low defect CZ mono-Si substrate. Advanced diffusion with a highly activated dopant, high-quality surface passivation, highly conductive passivating contact technologies, and a series of innovative technologies and material upgrades were integrated into the cell process to set the new record.</p>
<p><strong>ReneSola Power has </strong><a href="https://ir.renesolapower.com/news-releases/news-release-details/renesola-power-and-eiffel-investment-group-announce-mou-joint" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><strong>signed</strong></a><strong> a Memorandum of Understanding with Effiel Investment Group to establish a joint venture that will provide financing for ReneSola&#8217;s existing and future solar projects across Europe.</strong> ReneSola will hold a 51% ownership stake, and Effiel Investment Group will inject new capital into the joint venture for a 49% ownership stake. The joint venture intends to develop 1 GW of solar projects in the next several years across Europe.</p>
<p><strong>Cleantech Solar, a Singapore-based solar project developer, has </strong><a href="https://cleantechsolar.com/elang-perdana-rooftop-solar-pv-indonesia/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><strong>entered</strong></a><strong> into a long-term agreement with Indonesia-based Elangperdana Tyre Industry for a 4.5 MW of rooftop solar project. </strong>Cleantech Solar will provide the complete turnkey solution and guarantee the solar system&#8217;s performance throughout the lifetime of the 25-year agreement. The project is expected to generate 136.3 GWh of clean energy while reducing 117,500 tons of carbon dioxide emissions.</p>
<p><strong>The Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee has </strong><a href="https://translate.google.com/translate?sl=auto&amp;tl=en&amp;u=http://sgpc.net/%25e0%25a8%25b6%25e0%25a9%258d%25e0%25a8%25b0%25e0%25a9%258b%25e0%25a8%25ae%25e0%25a8%25a3%25e0%25a9%2580-%25e0%25a8%2595%25e0%25a8%25ae%25e0%25a9%2587%25e0%25a8%259f%25e0%25a9%2580-%25e0%25a8%25b5%25e0%25a9%25b1%25e0%25a8%25b2%25e0%25a9%258b%25e0%25a8%2582-%25e0%25a8%2587%25e0%25a8%25a4%25e0%25a8%25bf%25e0%25a8%25b9/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><strong>decided</strong></a><strong> to install solar systems on historic Gurdwaras to reduce electricity costs.</strong> A committee of officers and technical experts will be constituted to oversee the installation of the systems.</p>
<p><strong>The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development has </strong><a href="https://www.ebrd.com/news/2021/amman-to-introduce-new-bus-fleet-under-ebrd-green-cities-programme.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><strong>provided</strong></a><strong> a €14.8 million (~$18.24 million) financial package to Jordan&#8217;s Greater Amman Municipality to procure a new bus fleet.</strong> The new fleet will consist of 15 zero-emissions electric buses. The buses will be financed with €2.8 million (~$3.45 million) each from the bank and the Green Climate Fund, while diesel buses will be purchased with a €12 million (~$14.78 million) loan from the bank.</p>
