<p>Here are some noteworthy cleantech announcements of the day from around the world:</p>
<p><strong>Adani Solar Energy Four, a subsidiary of Adani Green Energy, has </strong><a href="https://www.adanigreenenergy.com/newsroom/media-releases/AGEL-commissions-100-MW-Solar-Power-Plants-in-Uttar-Pradesh-ahead-of-schedule" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><strong>commissioned</strong></a><strong> 100 MW of solar projects in Uttar Pradesh.</strong> The two Solar projects with 50 MW capacity each are located in Shahjahanpur district and Budaun district of Uttar Pradesh. The projects have 25-year power purchase agreements with Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation, with tariff rates of 3.22/kWh and 3.19/kWh, respectively. Adani Green Energy&#8217;s total renewable capacity reached 3.24 GW.</p>
<p><strong>SJVN Limited, a joint venture between the central government and Himachal Pradesh government, has </strong><a href="https://pib.gov.in/PressReleasePage.aspx?PRID=1693606" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">secured</a> <strong>the 679 MW Lower Arun Hydroelectric project in Nepal through competitive bidding.</strong> The hydroelectric project is located in the Sankhuwasabha and Bhojpur districts of Nepal. Once operational, the project is expected to generate 3561 million units of electricity annually.</p>
<p><strong>Power Grid Corporation of India has </strong><a href="https://www.bseindia.com/xml-data/corpfiling/AttachLive/196da3a5-1216-47c2-a335-6e35842af1c8.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><strong>bagged</strong></a><strong> two electricity transmission projects in Rajasthan through tariff-based competitive bidding.</strong> The company secured a &#8216;Transmission system strengthening scheme for the evacuation of power from solar energy zones in Rajasthan (8.1 GW) under phase II – Part A&#8217; on a build, own, operate, and maintain basis. The transmission system includes a 400/220 kV substation, 400 kV D/C transmission lines, and associated substation extension works. It also won a &#8216;Transmission system strengthening scheme for the evacuation of power from solar energy zones under phase II – Part B&#8217; on a build, own, operate, and maintain basis. The transmission system comprises the establishment of 765 kV D/C transmission lines and associated extension works.</p>
<p><strong>Albioma, a France-based independent renewable energy producer, has</strong> <a href="https://ml-eu.globenewswire.com/Resource/Download/735aca43-ea83-4362-a0b6-9fc73538d066" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">bagged</a> <strong>an aggregate capacity of 4.8 MW in the French government&#8217;s call for tenders for solar power facilities on buildings with a capacity between 100 kW and 8 MW.</strong> This capacity is spread over 20 projects located in the Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes, Occitanie, and Provence-Alpes-Cote-d&#8217;Azur regions. The construction of these projects will begin in 2022.</p>
