<p>The Military Engineer Services (<a href="https://mes.gov.in/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">MES</a>) has invited bids for off-grid solar electric supply to LED pathway lights at Nofra under GE Gomantak, Vasco.</p>
<p>Gomantak is the headquarters of the Indian Navy in Goa. The MES is a state-owned enterprise providing infrastructure to the settlements of armed forces across the country.</p>
<p>The estimated cost of the project is ₹1.16 million (~$15,469), and the period of completion is 180 days. The output power of the system should be 8 kW.</p>
<p>The last date for the submission of bids is May 30, 2020, and the bidders can start downloading the tender document from May 23, 2020.</p>
<p>Interested bidders will have to pay an amount of ₹23,200 (~$309.39) as the earnest money deposit (EMD).</p>
<p>To take part in the bidding process, the bidder should have completed three works of at least ₹750,000 (~$10,002) respectively, two works of at least ₹1 million (~$13,336) each, or one work of not less than ₹2 million (~$26,672).</p>
<p>Regarding the financial criteria, the average annual turnover of the bidder should be at least ₹2.5 million (~$33,340) for the last two financial years. The company should be solvent for up to ₹1 million (~$13,336), and the working capital of the company should not be less than ₹500,000 (~$6,668).</p>
<p>Successful bidders would be required to deposit performance security for an amount equivalent to 5% of the contract sum.</p>
<p>In December last year, MES had <a href="https://mercomindia.com/military-engineer-services-tender-rooftop-solar-tamil-nadu/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">issued</a> a tender for a 500 kW rooftop solar power project at Indian Naval Air Station at Rajali, Arakkonam in Tamil Nadu. The scope of work included detailed engineering, design including the feasibility survey for the solar power project, along with the topographic survey and foundation design.</p>
<p>Previously, Mercom had <a href="https://mercomindia.com/military-engineering-services-tenders-1-mw-solar-project-goa/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">reported</a> that MES had tendered a 1 MW solar project to be developed at GE Panaji, Goa. The scope of work included design, engineering, supply, erection, installation, and commissioning of the project.</p>
