<p>Here are some noteworthy cleantech announcements of the day from around the world:</p>
<p><strong>Azelio, a Sweden-based energy storage company, </strong><a href="https://www.azelio.com/investors/press-releases/2020/azelio-signs-mou-with-atria-power-for-65-mw-in-india/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><strong>announced</strong></a><strong> that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Atria Power to install 65 MW of energy storage systems in India until 2025.</strong>  Atria Power plans to utilize the thermal energy storage systems to provide zero-emission electricity, potable water, and cooling for rural villages and communities in India. According to the MoU, both companies will begin with small-scale installations of 100 kW in 2021, followed by large-scale installations of 12 MW in 2023, 18 MW in 2024, and 35 MW in 2025.</p>
<p><strong>Tata Power has </strong><a href="https://www.tatapower.com/media/PressReleaseDetails/1801/tata-power-signs-a-ppa-with-tata-motors-to-commission-indias-largest-carport-at-pune" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><strong>signed</strong></a><strong> a power purchase agreement with Tata Motors to commission a 6.2 MW of solar carport project at Tata Motor’s manufacturing facility in Pune, Maharashtra. </strong>The project is expected to produce 960,000 units of clean energy annually. The project will help reduce 160,000 tons of carbon emissions for Tata Motors in its lifetime.</p>
<p><strong>The global energy storage market is </strong><a href="https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/global-energy-storage-projected-to-increase-to-546-billion-by-2035-301121616.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><strong>expected</strong></a><strong> to rise to $546 billion by 2035, according to Lux Research’s latest research report.</strong> According to the research report, the residential energy storage market is expected to grow at a compound rate of 76% annually, and a revenue increase of around $8 billion over the next three years. The report added that the commercialization of innovative technologies would enhance massive growth in revenue and the deployment capacity of the global energy storage market.</p>
<p>Mitsubishi Power has <a href="https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20200902005391/en" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">launched</a> its first standard package for green hydrogen integration for power balancing and energy storage. The company had been selected as the green hydrogen storage integrator for three projects worth $3 billion, using its new technology. The first project is at Danskammer Energy, in Newburgh, New York, with a capacity of 600 MW. The second 1,600 MW Chickahominy Power Project is being developed by Balico in Virginia. The third project – the 1,084 MW Harrison Power Project is located in Cadiz, Ohio.</p>
