<p>The Maharashtra Energy Development Agency (<a href="https://www.mahaurja.com/meda/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">MEDA</a>) has invited bids to design, supply, install and commission electrical systems required for a 1.168 MW solar power project at Shri Mahalaxmi Jagdamba Temple at Koradi in Nagpur district of Maharashtra.</p>
<p>The power will be procured by the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (<a href="https://www.mahadiscom.in/en/home/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">MSEDCL</a>). The successful bidder will also have to take care of the operations and maintenance activities of the project for five years.</p>
<p>The last date to submit the bids is December 22, 2021. Bids will be opened on December 23.</p>
<p>The project&#8217;s estimated cost is ₹17.79 million (~$234,156).</p>
<p>Bidders will have to submit ₹177,942 (~$2,342) as an earnest money deposit. Successful bidders will have to furnish 3% of the contract value as the security deposit.</p>
<p>The successful bidder will be required to complete the work within 120 days from the receipt of the work order.</p>
<p>The bidder must have an electrical contractor in the firm who should issue the authorization certificate. The electrical contractor should have a minimum of 15 years of experience, and the license must be valid up to 90 days from the date of the submission of the tender.</p>
<p>The bidder should have successfully designed, engineered, supplied, erected, and commissioned a minimum capacity of 1.5 MW of grid-connected solar power project during the last three years.</p>
<p>The bidder should have a field service set up to provide after-sale services to carry out repair and replacement work within 48 hours from the time of reporting the fault as and when required for five years.</p>
<p>The bidder should have a cumulative turnover of ₹60 million (~$789,732) during the last three years.</p>
<p>If the systems are not installed and commissioned within the stipulated period as mentioned in the work order, the bidder will have to pay a penalty of 1% of the total amount, subject to a maximum of 10% of the total cost of systems.</p>
<p>Last June, MEDA had <a href="https://mercomindia.com/meda-invites-bids-solar-projects/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids for over 4 MW of solar projects to be developed in Akola, Vasai-Virar, and Amravati districts. The projects were to be developed under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation Abhiyan in Maharashtra.</p>
<p>According to Mercom&#8217;s <a href="https://mercomindia.com/product/india-solar-tender-tracker/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">India Solar Tender Tracker</a>, MEDA has issued tender for 55 MW of solar projects to date.</p>
